which grow light?

high guys have 2x4x8 flower tent and 110cm x55cm x 200cm veg teng too small for 4 ft t5s

tldr below

i started off using viparspectra 450 for veg and advanced platinum p300 for flower and had a few problems main one being small yield (3-5 oz) and no flavor

im about to go for third try but id like to properly set up now, i gave up on led and have 250w hps + the 180w p300, but ive been told my veg needs to be 400w and flower 600w
im not sure if i should upgrade hps but ive just found out about cob leds and hear these actually will be able to replce hps unlike my viparspectra and p300 which pull 0.5g wat, unless im doing something wrong :/

tldr; what wattage do i need, which cob lights should i get (uk based) many thanks

these are my first two grows, im using canna terra pro plus soil, pretty much any and all nutrients, have been battling through tonnes of conflicting information and making multiple mistakes along the way.

ive just started my third now with a single plant (blue dream) rather then two also organic.

im now copy catting cali greens soil mix of foxfarm ocean forest with worm castings, compost, dr earth organic veg fertiliser and perlite if anyone sees a problem please call it out!! thanks a lot in advance for any help and advice you can spare

canna terra pro plus soil, pretty much any and all nutrients

The "plus" on the end means that's the coco-only version, were you aware of that with your nutrient lineup?
I love their potting mix version, canna terra professional.

--- With those kind of lights, you want to ignore that "450" and check out the actual watts it draws from the wall. That's a more reliable indicator of how much light they give off.

ive just found out about cob leds and hear these actually will be able to replce hps unlike my viparspectra

This is correct
Easier to manage your heat with cobs too, which can be an issue with a 400/600w hps beaming infrared onto the plants.
HPS is the cheapest initial purchase though.

I don't think you need a 400w hid for your veg tent, I veg with crappy led no worries.
(I flower with hps in the winter, cobs the rest of the year)

If you want to build a cob light I like the citizen 1818’s I have a few thousand watts of those. I would actually go with quantum boards. That’s the way I’m going. Once the wife ok’s the build I’ll be gearing up to do two thousand actual watt build.

First of all what are your average temps and humidity and do you supply extra co2? All those things are essential to yeild and potency.

Second your soil is very basic. Try switching to a 40/20/40 mix of

@lordhoha i should be able with help from the guides here just bit scared to be honest i bought 4x60w citizen cobs last night prebuilt for £85 was happy with that

@tomtucker temps fluctuated more then i wanted mostly at 26c but occasionally rose up to 28, kept humidity between 40-70 and below 40 at end of flower

Edit after further investigation this is what makes it PLUS.
CANNA Terra Professional Plus contains trace elements and chelates, which protect the plants during growth
The normal terra pro doesn't say anything about trace elements ect.

Dank, once you get your new lighting up and running learn to make the most of the space you have, fill your canopy by using various training methods.
I imagine your yield was partly to do with your lighting but your second pic shows too much nutrients. I would say use less but it sounds like you are going down the route of building a soil so pointless talking about bottled nutrients.

Interesting! I went to my local store's website and see now how I made this mistake.
It's not that their two products were Canna Terra Professional and Canna Terra Professional Plus like I thought, with the only difference being the "plus" on the end.
That second product is actually called Canna Coco Professional Plus
