Seedling not doing so great

Planted about 2 weeks ago and have not done much. I usually get past this stage so im a little confused on what is causing the issue.

Im using soil that comes from a soil farm in town and its good soil, ive been using it for a long time now. the only difference in this grow is that i could not find plain perlite at the time and was forced to use MiracleGrow perlite. i wonder if this is burning the plant somehow. Another difference is im not using tap water on this one instead went with a distilled bottled water.

What could this be and how to correct? Much appreciated!

Yep ... MG perlite IS INFUSED with fertilizer... Which releases at every watering.

Even with a simple wash BEFORE using it , still has fertilizer in it.
They do appear burned ..

Damn i wished the shit out of the perlite too. still wasnt enough huh?

Is this plant gone or is there something i can do?

Also . There is No Reason to use distilled water with a new seedling much less for a grow.
A simple light misting - once in awhile until it roots better and bigger. Tap is fine .
I just get a water bottle CAP , fill with water and add to area around baby stalk ... That's it .

i can't see how big your container is ... But you could try a careful transplant into a mild potting mix .... These are already a looser / more aerated seed starter type mix which allow a young taproot to easily move thru it.

Not saying moving all of the original mix you are using but a small plug ( into new mix ).
They are already stressed ( new leaf set ) and " may not " recover or stunt . But they will not do any better stuck in that MG. MG can grow plants , it's just too HOT for new seedlings - hence a starter mix to get her legs in.

Distilled is not necessary. You don't water outside plants or grass with distilled water.

Carefully take it completely out of that soil and transplant it. Budzbuddha is right, MG perlite comes with fertilizer.

If you're carefull you can wash the soil off of the roots and repot it into different soil. And like ablaze said, there a no need to use distilled water. Unless you have really horrible water.

Ok so i repotted and hoping for the best, i just hope the little guy will pull through.

The reason i went with distilled is because my tap water has a pH of 8.5, thought that was too high for a youngin. Since i have not yet gotten pH up/down i went with the distilled.

It'll take a little time but should pull through. That makes sense about using the distilled water because of your ph.
