Mixing nutrients

First of let me say that I’m a newbie to growing. This is my first grow. I’m growing blueberry auto in 5gal smart pot in fox farm soil. It’s day 20 since the plant popped out the soil. I have the fox farm trio but I haven’t fed it any yet. I was looking at the fox farm feeding schedule an it says that I should be using 6 tsp of big bloom per gallon and 3 tsp of grow big per gallon. My question is can these nutrients be mixed together in the same gallon of water? I also read to start with 1/4 strength of the nutrients. Is it too early to start feeding nutrients or should I start feeding? An should I get some cal mag? I see a lot of ppl saying they use it but idk like I said I’m new to this. Any tips or info would be greatly appreciated.

Those guys are young and are in primo soil. Everyone will have their own opinion. Personally, I would start adding nutrients when you replant into larger containers. Mix away! Other than micro nutrients, the ones that matter are N-P-K and you can find any number of combinations/ratios.

I'm also going to add my standard saying - most problems are because we "love" our plants to death. The more we do, the more that can go wrong. Go easy on the nutes. While they help, plants very rarely get pampered in nature and they still do perfectly fine.

You almost have to work hard to mess up a soil grow. So don't work too much and let nature take it's course.

I’m not going any larger than the 5gallon smart pot. I read that since I was growing a auto that I should plant it in the pot that I want it to finish in. So being that it’s going to stay in the same pot when do u suggest I start with the nutrients?

The great thing about growing our own is that we can do it any way we want!

FFOF is amazing stuff. Like crack for plants. IMO, a plant that size isn't using a huge quantity of nutrients yet. Therefore there is still a lot in the potting mix. Personally, I guess I would start adding a little bit at day 45ish from seed and see how they react over the next couple of days.

Yes! Nutrients can be mixed in the same gallon of water. I do it all the time with no ill effects. Personally i combine Tiger Bloom, just a VERY SMALL amount of Grow Big, Cal/Mag and Hydroguard all into 1 gallon of water. I also agree with Ablaze, start adding a little bit by day 45.

Good luck with your grow! Keep us posted! If you staying here at this website, you will learn a lot! Im on my first grow and have learned WAYYY more then what i started with! Great guys/girls here!

I’ve recently started seeing white pistils. So does that mean it’s in flowering stage?
