yeah i took the first two shots the other post was of google of ThripsThe first two pics look like russet mites. Are you in veg or flower?
If it is russet mites then you'll have your hands full.
What are the plants looking like?
chem ive scoped my girls every morning for a over a weeks now and i cant find any bugs live or dead i do see what appear as eggs on all the girls leaves upper and lower and top of leaf and under side so i dont know wtf im dealing withthrip, need Microlift now and they die in couple days
sticky traps on the floor and hung above might help you catch the culprit.ive been using spinosad, neem, and just recently azamax in rotation and like previous post no critters just what i believe are eggs on some of the leaves.
whats really odd is something iv eating the finders of my leaves over night in my room looked for caterpillars but not as thoroughly as ive looked for mites, thrips,or aphids. if someone can advise id be really grateful.
I agree I haven’t found anything else that resembles what I captured I wish I could post the video I took fast moving little fucker. I haven’t been able to spot another one knock on wood hopefully I caught it early and I was very aggressive to the ladies and environment. I will post with update if I figure this out. Thanks for the heads upLooks like russet mites.
Yeah it was pretty quick do you know if videos are postable hereRussets dont move very quickly. So if the pest you spotted was on the run, it is likely something else.
I was scoping my plants for over a week every morning and I couldn’t find and more critters do the stay in groups under leaves? I went at the plants hard neem spinosad azamax Beethoven TR fogger in rotation for a few weeks killed a lot of leaves in the process but I believe I got them. Waiting for the girls to finish flowering then gonna forbid on vegging ladies. Thanks for the inputAbsolutely a russet mite. If you see one there are already many. When I had these I scrapped everything and restarted but mighty wash did help, sulfer does work, and heat treatments help. To me it’s all too much effort now, you’re much better off scrapping and cleaning in my opinion. If they are on the veg plants I wouldn’t flower anything until the veg is clean. Those things suck
Yup. Alcohol is the big gun in this case. What is black soap?Iso alcool 99% mixed with water 50/50 will kill on contact, black soap and neem will kill eggs and you put diatomaceous earth everywhere (on and under plants,, over your soil, your grow room to avoid them moving away.
Black soap is the samething as dish soap, just diff kind of soap.Yup. Alcohol is the big gun in this case. What is black soap?
I have hammered em with a combo of Forbid 4F then a few days later a mix of 1 teaspoon of Dr. Bronners Peppermint soap/oil, 1 teaspoon of Neem oil, a few drops of Ivory white dish soap or Dawn blue dish soap, 6 drops of rosemary oil, 6 drops of lemongrass oil, to a gallon of water,
You can also get Canola oil at any grocery store for $1 to 2 and add a half teaspoon of that.
You maybe right or I’m very fortunate cause a regimen of neem captain jacks and azamax seems to have gotten rid of them. Got some forbid that I may use in veg not sure if I’ll need it though. Those dont look like russet mites to me. Those look like THRIPS and the different larvae stages the are in. Easy to get rid of compared to just about anything except gnats. Get some Monterey Garden Spray or Captain Jacks (spinosad). Follow label instructions. Get em. If its russets your in for a battle. And spinosad isnt what you need.
If spinosad and azadiracthin got em...it prolly wasnt russet mites. Did the leaves curl up? Where the 5 blades meet the petiole stem? If not...you might of had just thrips. Those critters are easy to kill compared to anything in the mite family. You maybe right or I’m very fortunate cause a regimen of neem captain jacks and azamax seems to have gotten rid of them.
