Fluorescent Lighting Question - How much do I need?

I have a 18" fixture, currently a 15 watt Cool White...sitting on 4 clones.

Max wattage I can find is 20watts...so like a 20 watt cool white or a plant/aquarium spectrum. Would this be enough?

So far I don't think so, cuz not much has happened in the week that the clones have been in there.

I can buy ballasts for like $13 at Cdt. Tire that are I believe 20 watters but not sure.

Basically, I need to know exactly how many fluorescent fixtures I need..as well as wattage, etc.

This is for a dresser grow, will get pics if desired.

Yes pics are needed. I would just get CFL's

but... if u are hung up on those T5's here u go
this is half the size, half the price and it puts out more lumens than the one u were lookin at. That other one is a 2x4 this is a 2x2. I doubt the 2x4 could fit in a dresser...

Not really interested in CFL's, just bcuz I don't need a bunch of redneck wiring n shit everywhere and a ton of sockets, etc.

The fixture you pointed out is nice, but not exactly poppin on the price tag. Although if I had the money that's an awesome choice.


The lights I might buy for like $12/ea put out about 1k lumens each..

Go to wal-mart or some shit and get some t8 that is what i was in my vegg room and they work really well

How can u call CFL's redneck shit if u won't even splurge $60 for a light. Growng cost money. Have u thought this out? Have u saved up some money? What are u goin to do when the start smelling up ur house? Do u even have an exhaust?...intake? PH meter, TDS meter? Nutes? Soil? Pots? Good water? $$$$$$$ Growing costs money. I'm not tryin to be a dick, but be better than these other newbs.

Distilled water, yep
Grow op, yep

Growing costs money, yes, but I have yet to spend a dime and I have all the above exluding a few extra fixtures.

I am a newb, when it comes to indoor growing.

Got some beauties in the backyard. ;)

if you have already grown its not that much different. should be easier since you can "control" the environment.

yo bro, knocking on him will get you nowhere either. if he doesnt want to listen to your advice he'll be kicking himself for it later.

However man, i would recommend you stay on the indoor growing threads for a while. sounds like there is a little more you could know that could def help your grow.

im planning on doing an SoG once i can determine which plant will be the mother plant, then ill take cuttings and flower them right away, so height wont be an issue as much, something to look into.

You know you could get 100grams from a "REDNECK" 4 bulb cfl grow, but who wants to see all those wires:roll:, cluttered wires and sockets are all in the design

K I must have misunderstood CFL grows, I was always told it takes a ridicules amount of CFL's to grow. (I'm talking like 10-15 lites) ???
