I've copped packs of the discontinued for $17. If I can time it right in the reverse auction I'm gonna do even better now that I've got some nuggets :bigjoint:
100% germ rate on the 6 I've put down and they are the leaders in the pack out of 4 different breeders and 20 seeds total. Im very happy with GPS so far.

I get what you are saying since his CV gear is a bit more than others sell it for, but he also does sales all the time. I copped a pack of Canna Venture Pure Raspberry Kush for $47. He also sells his DVG gear 50% off sometimes -even though they told him they dont like that haha. Thing is , he doesnt always post when he does these firesales...he just does it and expects you to check in often.

Depends on Which NL.

Real Deal NL#5 is clone only, and when Sensi had it in the 90s, early 2000s, it was hybridized/stabilized. Nevil made the hybridization/Stabilization in the 80s, and was really good shit, and if you look at Sensi ad for NL, they sill have the Cup advertised, even though their NL is no longer advertised as #5, but is a Hybrid of #1 x #2, x #5.

RedEyed Genetics had a NL5Bx1, which was a cross of Clone Only NL5 x Snow Lotus. Which is an Unknown variety, Sweettooth, Afgooy. I should have bought them when I had the chance.

What I did to get the best stuff possible, with something that I know has the Real Heirloom stuff that Nevil had in the 80s, and got from Pacific Northwest.

Check into the Coastal Seeds Heirloom NL1 x Skelly Hashplant. Seeds Here Now, in USA.

Nevil originally offered this in his original Seed Bank Catalog in the 80s.

He also had a Back Cross of a Male F2 of this, back into the clone only mother Hashplant, and he called it Hashplant. He says both NL1 x HP, and the Back Cross plants were the most frosted he had ever seen.

This HP is also a cross of a Lebanese HP x Afghan. Known as the Skelly cut. Is not a big producer, but is a resin factory, and some of the best tasting stuff ever. Pure Hash.

1 thing right off the bat they have wrong is advertising NL5 as an IBL. Its clone only, and as far as I know, NOBODY has beaten the Sensi Version, but they arenet even close now....... NL1 is IBL. Not 5.

The BCSC was used by Bodhi at 1 time, and he mixed it with I believe the Dr Atomic. Atomic Lights, which is supposed to be NL5 genes, but mixed with Thai. NL5 did have Thai originally, and Dr Atomic got the NL5 cut, and bred it to a more Sativa, longer flowering pheno, verses short Squat, and what I want. I also hear BCSC has old seeds. So I saved my money on these also. Don't buy them.
Bodhi no longer has this strain, and I'm sure if it was a keeper strain, he would still have it. Ive got the Atomic Lights, but after looking at photos, is not like the 90s, early 2000s Sensi NL5.

Forget the Sensi NL. IMHO Junk. Others MMV. Mine don't.

Believe me, Ive been looking too, and looking some more, and the best stuff was the RedEyed Genetics NL5BX1, and for now isn't available. REAL NL5 is Clone Only, and only a few people have the Real Cut. Don't be fooled.Stay away from Sensi.

Sensi had KILLER NL5 in the mid 2000s, and some of the original genes were lost, and now they use NL1, NL2, and cross that into NL5,,,,

Considering all of it is going to be a Hybrid, Id get the Coastal Seeds Puck Yeah. NL1 x Skelly Hashplant.

jimi, thanks for all of you valuable input I'm leaning a bunch as I'm a total newbie. I started noticing the genetics details of all of the ones I was finding and they were mostly all crosses. I am looking for a low odor, fast flowering, super short fat plant. I have a very small and short grow space and I would really like to turn around a harvest as quickly as possible. With all I have been reading NL is my best option for that, but since I'm new to all of this I may be wrong. Any advice on something that I can actually get my hands on while the search continues? I found a Northern Lights/Lowryder cross...

I have no experience with seedsherenow. I see that they accept pymnt to a US address, but do they ship from within the US or is it just a payment address, and ship from outside the US? Im trying to be done with customs and green tape.

I believe the Payment is processed by an offshore business, but SeedsHereNow is 100% INSIDE USA. NO CUSTOMS. I do believe they ship overseas though. I may be wrong.

Though I don't know everything. Ive been growing since 1972. So I do know something.

Though not really low odor, if you want Short/Squat, good shit, and FAST???

Both the Puck Yeah, and Early Bird/M26 fit the bill pretty good.

Also, the ORIGINAL NL5 I had ?? Was a Stinker, not low odor. Was like a floral skunky pine forest. 1 bud of it will stink up the whole room.

Look at Vashon Seed, and Mercantile

Early Bird/M26. Its done in 42-49 days flowering.

Puck Yeah is a smaller plant, and more potent.

The ( Puck Yeah ) NL1 x Skelly gives up potency to no strain, but is 100% knock your ass off Indica. Don't plan on doing much.

Another Really nice strain to look into is

Dominion Seed Company.

This is a VA Beach Afghani x Skelly HP x SSSC Sk1. Ive read they went through 3000 females to find the VA Afghan cut.

If you don't know who SSSC is... Super Sativa Seed Club is, they are 1 of the old 80s Banks, and are/were highly respected, and had some of the best genes ever.

The Granny Skunk will stretch just a bit more vs the Puck Yeah, allowing you to veg a little less time, and will produce more vs the Puck Yeah.

But either 1 of the 3 will knock your head off.

Swami Organic Seed co has some open pollination, 1991 NL 5 x nevilles haze... definitely old school. Me and a couple friends did 3 runs of it recently. Wide ranging quality, but what’s important to me, is that the next level potency IS there. One garden produced zero keepers, one produced 1 keeper, and a third garden produced 2 keepers. Flowering time is a bit lengthy... ~11-14 weeks for the keepers, though some indica leaning individuals finished in under 10 weeks. Had about 10% go LONGER than 14 weeks, but we culled all of those. All in all, a VERY speedy, “up” strain. Definitely preferring the haze leaning ladies to the indica leaners with this strain. Tbh... this one might be more for the haze lover than the NL5 lover. But it IS genuine old school genetics, flavor, effect.
