You can see thrips with the naked eye, just hanging around under the leaf tucked into the little ribs of the leaf. You cant see russet mites so easy and they can do that to a plant. Thrips leave a silvery trail but don't make leaves malformed.
Russet mites are the devils work, thrips are a minor inconvenience.

I was able to see them once w/ the naked eye when they were big. Took a long time to get that way. I know that most strages of their growth I wasn't able to see them. I'd find what I thought might be one w/ the 30x Loup then double check it w/ the 50-100x to verify. That's how I found them in the larva stage & was able to catch them before they hot out of hand. But it only takes one or 2 adults to start leaving the silver spots that look like Dried cum.
But they will eventually become visible. A bad infestation does cause deformed leaves too.
But i heard about Russet mites. Real bad ficjers they are.
Hope this guy don't have them.
He's deffinetily in denial though & has one of those 2 bugs or something similiar.

aint thrips! no way, jose
It's deffinelty some type of mite but not Thrips. I once had a super bad Thrips infestation in my early indoor days and didn't know what it was. I let it go for a long time without treatment and it never looked like that. My guess is russet mites Thrips do not make the leaves deform like that.

If I were you I would kill everything and reset the room. You need to clean clean clean your area I mean spotless enough to eat off of.

No disrespect to the old walk of life LED 3-watt Old School Technology introduced to us back 25 years ago and made for under a dollar people to this day so buy them 3 watt chip light being introduced to LEDs and turn away from them after one cycle of grow or one run because they do not do them Justice giving LEDs bad names
pretty much me atm after being out of the game for 2 years and loosing most of my gear. a mate built me some veg lights from cheap ebay crap and damn theyre trash. tempted to just go back to t5's
