So, if a road is co-owned, can a person sell their portion of the road which they own?

>that must have been rhetorical..what do you think?

my guess is "negative" mr rob

My main point was that at least some individual people who are alleged to be part owners of the road, are not in actuality part owners of the road, since they do not possess the ability to realistically make ownership choices about the road.

>the thread was about decrim of alcohol.and the answer i am quite confident is nay

Also, I asked if a person who had been legally intoxicated made it home safely after driving on the road, who they should pay money to? Should they pay money to all of the other owners ? Who has been harmed and how is another question.

>there is no honour box sonny..if they make it home they can pay it to anyone they want

So if a road is co owned and you can't sell your portion or decide as an individual how you would like the road to be administered, would you say some pretty important ingredients of "ownership" are missing ?

So, if the drunk driver made it home safely, how were the other "owners" harmed ?

If a drunk does harm somebody, should he restitute THAT person(s) or somebody else ?

Also, thanks for playing along and responding politely.

Haha just put the dilusional knob on ignore, fucken drunk is still rambling on. Next he'll argue about how discharging firearms in public that dont injure anyone should be allowed. Like arguing with a mentally stunted 10 yr old

So due to the fucking morons that made it home alright drunk driving we should forget the ones that have killed people due to their ignorance?Oh and by the way the crime committed is drinking under the influence, regardless of if another person is injured or not. That's a pretty fucking weak and hugely lazy arguement to justify driving drunk. So why try and justify it? Supporter?
I don't think I ever said I was trying to justify drunk driving. I was questioning how a person can claim they were harmed if a drunk made it home safe. I was also questioning that "everybody" really owns the roads.

I was also seeking an answer to who should be paid, when a person is harmed by a drunk driver.

Also, it's not nice to call a person a knob, just because their questions might be difficult for you to answer or you've never actually figured out that what you've been told may not be as things really are. You be sure and have a nice day now.

It has been explained to you. Perhaps if you put down the bottle for a minute, you could sober up enough to comprehend - but I wouldn't bet on it.
I'll try to make it simple for your tiny little brain. Say you owned a condo and it needed a new roof or parking lot. You are obligated to pay for your share of said roof or parking lot, but you can't alter it or take it with you when you leave. Do you really own the condo? Sometimes we pay for things that benefit more than just ourselves for the greater good.
A fine for impaired driving is not about 'paying other road users'...I can't believe an adult would think that was a valid argument. Most of us learned the concept of 'society' and social obligations by about grade six, so I get your confusion. You shoulda stayed in school one more year, eh? A grade six education would open up so many doors for you.
Impaired driving penalties are there to act as a deterrent for the drunken fucks. I don't want those fucking idiots on the same road as my kids or grandkids.
Ever smoked Rob? You seem to have a lot to say about everything but. You wouldn't know a cannabis plant from lettuce, son.

So, in this hypothetical condo scenario you've described in between making false assumptions about me, could you answer a few questions please?

Can the condo owners sell their interest in the condo to a person that they choose?

In the "public owns the road" scenario you have compared condo ownership to, can a person who you imply owns part of the road, sell his/her interest in the road to a person that they choose ?

I understand you don't want idiots on "your road", I wouldn't want them on any roads I own either, but don't the idiots also own this road too, according to you? So can you think of any ways to rectify this conundrum?

Ever smoked ? Over the years, I may have dropped more weed on the floor than you've ever seen. Of course I don't really know if that's true or not, you know because I'm a drunk according to you.

We can tell you're drunk by your idiotic argument over road use on a cannabis forum. Do you own your car? Why do you have a driver's license and insurance if not for the fact that it's law? Can you sell your license and insurance to anyone you like? Here's a plan, you run around with all your drunk friends and when you get into a car and kill someone, you can argue your case with the judge. You kill or hurt the wrong person and you may never get the chance to see a judge.
I'll go on living in a society with rules and not diminish the loss of lives to traffic deaths by arguing over road ownership. I sure hope you don't mate with anything, the world doesn't need more 'stupid'.

Well, actually I began by asking a question or two, which you seem reluctant to try answering, favoring erroneous assumptions and caustic remarks instead.

I do own vehicles. I never said I have a drivers license or insurance though. I can't sell something which isn't mine, not without feeling bad anyway. Your license is a slave badge, by the way. I mean if you own the road, why would you need somebodies permission to use it ?

I'm not sure if any of my friends are drunk right now though. You see, I'm sitting here alone (for now) in the relative warmth of my den with my furry toes exposed, trying to avoid stepping on all the massive piles of weed, having a good time reading your acerbic comments and about to roll one up before I go out onto "our road" and drive like I own it.

Why do you feel I'm diminishing the lives of people killed in traffic deaths? I think that's a bad thing. Can you show me where I thought different?

I have a mate, but we're old, smug and we know everything so we're not planning on reproducing anymore. You are absolutely right the world doesn't need more stupid does it?

And your brain is fried. Go back to your cave. You obviously have nothing to contribute to this forum.
drinking only allows your brain to work at half its potential and for two days after that...and is why we find it so easy to do the things we would never do straight, when we can think right,,
so it makes lots of sense.
