Ok wtf. Advice?

nute burn/lock up IMO. I use RO but when my plants are that small they usually get ~150-200ppm in total nutes. I wouldnt be giving them 500 till they are in like week 3 or 4 of veg and they are ~12-18" tall. If you keep top feeding they might not look for roots and grow more leaves but no roots. They should have at least one tap root in the water by day 30.

Lol man i havent used a meter in like 5 years

But i figured its time again so i put a continuous read meter in

Lmao i was only feeding like 300 ppms :)

Plants looked great with no tip burn but i was suprised at how big they got on such little food lol

Is it cause of the rdwc?

I think it has to do with hydro in general. You're getting unfiltered nutes right to the roots. That's why the recommended dose is usually about half of what you'd provide with soil, which buffers everything. I'm usually around 500 to 600 ppm at the end of veg, and around 900 during flower.

The roots aren't touching water today. Thought the roots would be in water by now.. But I did transplant her.. so no pic of roots for now.
I think twerkle is right she was getting nuts locked. I think my hard tap water made early life rough before I switched to RO. Not looking any better today... lower leaves still.

Your plant looks fine to me. I grew in NFT and I currently grow in coco/perlite drain to waste. I use your same nutrients and 600 MH in veg. Just keep an eye on her. I'd also cover that rockwool (algae). How far is your MH from her?

Edit (added): what is your reservoir temperature?

It's a Rapid rooter not Rockwool I shouldn't need to cover it correct? My mh bulb is 16 inch away, the glass of the reflector is 13 inches away. It's a cool tube.

But your root look fine for the most part
But i bet its why you havent hit water yet.

Probably thought it was dry so it stayined in the rooter.

They look like they are on the way though:)

Yea I think i had the water a little low.. that tunnel is a little longer than I thought.. I was wanting my bubbles to be slapping the bottom, now they are!!

I've been mixed on the constant top feed thing. I know the medium needs to dry up some to search for the roots to search for water right?
