So someone please elighten me. I'e wondered for a while now how they grow in such small containers like solo cups some even smaller. I tried it recently and couldn' figure out how to stop it from rootbounding yet I see all of these pictures of gloriously shinny nuggs and I'm like damn...

So if anyone has any idea how it's done I'd love to know considering I have a small grow space

Smaller the container the more work to it.

With a solo cup you'll have to water a lot ask they drink like crazy. And yes root bound plants are a pain in the ass and bare hard to keep balanced.. But it can be done.... I just can't figure out why anyone would want to .. Besides just for a fun side project that your not invested in.

Avoid its so un natural

as we grow weed ...lots a weed here ...in quality too

solo cup grows are a means to encourage non growers

to get interested in growing weed

in a confined place like a pc case etc with 1-2 cfl's =AVOID

good luck

I agree. As my first grow, while not proud of it, came out premature and didn't smell or taste good at all and was grown in a micro setting. I feel as if I had sufficents grow space I can perform a lot better. The problems I encounter I feel were due to lack of space and light power

The simple answer is

"Because they can"

A phrase which is sometimes second only to "Here, hold my beer and watch this"

I thought with a root bound plants severely reduce the quality of the plant. I would not want to waste a 10.00 seed on a solo cup. If you are going to do that why bother fucking growing. I am not saying you have to grow trees but the let them grow as naturally as possible.

root bound= shit, I cant keep up with the demands of this plant in this size container.
smaller container generally means smaller yield. The size of a plant or its container has little to do with the it's quality.
I clone and seed in tall cups, then transplant into 3 gallon final pots.
