Just out of curiousity what is the most compact strain to grow? I live in an apartment and I dont want to grow something 6 ft high. Is there a strain that only grows a few feet?

Look into lowryder. They only get about 2 ft tall

Too many variants to give a yield...as for the smoke...good but not top notch...can be better but too many variants as well...

I'll disagree there Lowryder is excellent smoke. I grew 12 plants in an aero set up under a 1000w hps and got a fantastic yield and great smoke. Very stoney indica type high.

OK, Ok...it's a good high...but you also had it under a 1000 watter...helps a bit
And well as for quality...it's an opinion and it was good don't get me wrong...but again I didn't grow it so no idea how it was done...mine was a little harsh so maybe the grower didn't flush etc. etc...to many variables...

Yeah the 1000 watt light is probably not "normal" conditions for a plant that is bred for small spaces.OK, Ok...it's a good high...but you also had it under a 1000 watter...helps a bit

They actually grew quite large in the aero under the 1000 watt HPS. The largest plant was about 3 feet, they got quite frosty. This was the original Lowryder #1 not a cross too. I'm sure the new crosses are even more potent and now they have the feminized seed; I did not have all those options back then just the 10 pack of regular lowryder seeds from Dr.Chronic. Quite an amazing plant though. If you want and quick harvest from seed you can't go wrong.

Mine was a aero/DWC mix. It was just a rubbermaid with net pots an air stone and an ultrasonic fogger. 80% of the root mass was suspended in the "fog zone" and the rest went into the nute solution.

Averaged 700-800g wet off each plant, so I would say very well . . .

Wow thats great. I was thinking of doing something low key...maybe 3 plants or so. Is the smell really strong during the growth process? How long did they take from start to finish?

If you are only doing three plants I would opt for feminized seeds. During veg the smell is not a problem in the last two weeks of flowering they were pretty stinky. I'm not sure how long they took it is actually one of the few grow I did not document. I have a written garden journal of pretty much every grow I have done but that was one of my early grows so I guess i did not document it. BTW its good practice to journal your grow (not online) and keep the books so you can look back and see how you solved problems in the past. It also helps you diagnose problems and generally improve your gardening skills.
I'm trying to remember how long but I smoked some haze I want to say it took about 10 weeks for seed package to harvest. Either way it was a very fast harvest.

Reason I ask is I've heard they dont take long at all. I was more concerned about how big they got but to find out that from plant to harvest wasnt long at all made the strain much more appealing. Where did you get the seeds?

Yeah they are very fast grow for sure. I got my seeds from Dr. Chronic back when he was the only one to carry them. From what I have heard the Doc is not shipping to the US anymore though and has had problems with delivery recently. I recently placed an order with Attitude they seem pretty cool I ordered from them a little while back and I just harvested some wonderful Arjan's Haze #1 from them. I must say it is fantastic smoke.

Hahaha NICE! Congrats...I got nothing. Im totally sober unfortunatly. All I found around here so far was dirt so I promised myself to not smoke dirt until I got a better hookup...kinda why I joined on here. Thought to myself maybe growing is the answer. Im sure its alot of work but until I can find a reliable KB hookup or even mids Ill be on strike hahahaYeah they are very fast grow for sure. Good for you bro, boycott the Shwag! You will never smoke weed any better than stuff you grow yourself. The fun part is to impress your buddies with your "new kb hook up" and get them stoned outta their minds with your homegrown.

hahaha thats awesome...ya they will be impressed. Im going to boycott that crap so they know its not welcome here in america...keep that crap down south in Mexico. Im getting pumped to grow one problem though...geting my wife to agree to it (non smoker) Ill prob tell her Im growing herbs for seasoning/cooking. Have you ever run into any trouble during your grows...neighbors...cops...etc
