Any idea what the issue is?

Growing 2 amnesia AF in 3x4x6 closet grow under 3 100w cfl atm then switching too 2 -300w dimmable LED's. These 2 seeedling are in seed starter miracle grow and perlite mix under 18/6 cycle temp 77-80 F' RH -60%. Any ideas what they are going through atm and how to fix.

nice, they need a better soil? mg products can work but difficult for some.
maybe better drainage/watering habits/transplant would do the job.
something like happy frog, organic potting soil with perlite mixed in, even pro mix by itself.
you'll need to begin feeding it after it settles in the transplant. seems to be a watering/nutrient issue imo
be good to hear others using mg seed starter mix

Yea i have only watered these once with a rooting nute and RO water. Ill be transplanting these into FFSF but was not planing on doing that till i seen a good root field in solo cup. You think i should go ahead and Transplant asap and see if they change?

ff products are the last I would suggest. but yes, transplant and water only until they perk up.

The issue is the soil. It's much better to use a soilless mix that is sterile or at least natural/ nutrient free. I use pro mix bx or hp. You will not regret the switch. Happy growing!

Yes big holes in bottom i just watered it for second time yesterday.

At this stage roots have probably circled the bottom .
MG is fertilizer loaded ( and burns easily ) due to the CFR ( controlled release fertilizer ) which it does at every watering. Yes you can grow weed in it for the most part , but a light mix would have been preferred to the emerging seedlings.

As mentioned a lighter soilless mix is a good option ( PROMIX / Sunshine 4 , etc )
That way you can dial in a feed instead of dumping on soil with charged fertilizer.
FFOF is okay mostly , as it has pretty much the kitchen sink amended within it.
It can carry a plant for a good 5 weeks on its own with just water , before some of it begins to tap out.

I would up pot those into their final containers ...

Don't water. Let them dry out. It encourages root growth. That's what's wrong. That seed starting stuff is a pain in the ass. It holds water. Not only that it goes from wet to dry fairly quick when it finally dries. It then doesn't want to take water.

With autos you want to plant straight to final pot.

People and "how to grow" sites tell them they MUST use the likes of FF, I guess that's why that brand keeps cropping up.

MiracleGro too hot for young cannabis seedlings. (Or at any point in the plants life IMO. Fuck MiracleGro). In addition, you shouldn't be giving them any form of nutrients until they've completed there second node set. And even then, start diluted. As stated above, try growing seedlings in sunshine mix #4, Happy frog, or PROMIX.

Only reason i was using MG with my seedling is because it was recommended by the seed bank i bought the seeds from. As far as using Fox Farm soil i have used pure Coco in past and wanted to try something new so i am trying out the new Fox Farm line Strawberry Fields which has a descent amount of Coco in it. You live and learn i have listened to all of your suggestions and will adjust accordingly to what i experience with this grow. As far as the girls they have been transplanted into their home pots "5 Gallon cloth" and we will see how they respond i really appreciate all the feedback and look forward to future conversations.

I don't recommend miracle grow because they don't remove heavy metals. Other than that, salt is salt. Miracle grow has the same salts as any other product just not as clean.

It will grow pit all day long. The trick to growing in the time release stuff is keeping it on the dry side.

I mainly grow organic. Mainly because we had a mini farm and access to horse, cow and chicken manure. Rabbit manure now. Rabbit manure is gold and can use fresh.

I have a worm bin and compost pile.

I build my own soil.

Save that old soil and as you get enough you just get a couple rubber maid totes. You can cook one batch of soil while the other cooks.

This garden tone is eight pounds for less than ten bucks.

That's enough for many grows. It goes long ways.

Here is a brand of peat base with perlite. 4 cubic feet and compressed. Equal to ten bags of soil when broken up and watered. 35 bucks at a nursery.

Its similar to promix. Mix equal parts of the fox farm after your first run. Get a bag of compost for a few bucks and a bag of worm castings for 10 bucks. Good organic soil on a budget.

Check this book out. People even have worm farms in apartment. Like in a foot stool. Worm castings is worth its weight in gold for good plants.

This is a good book to learn organics.

This is down to earth all purpose organic dry fert. It has all the best stuff like kelp and alfalfa meal. Good stuff. 20 bucks for a big box. That 6 pound box was 10 or so bucks.

If nothing else get the bale of this or something similar.

Get a hold of dynagro and for less than 20 bucks you get sample pack with a quart of foliage pro, quart of protekt, pint of bloom, pint of mag pro and a pint of rooting hormone.

That's would last quite a few grows.
