In my younger days crop hunting lots of booby traps. 2x4s with nails pointing up, deep holes covered in leaves, fish hooks hanging from trees...lost some tires in my day

thing with booby traps are if you happen to catch a police officer...or the like...
you can bet on going to jail....for some serious time....

A motion light can be helpful and easy to do...get several. Place them in areas that will light up before they get to the plants if possible.
These are cheap enough.

Funny had lights, they still felt comfortable meaning it was probably who I think it was. This yeah I'm legal and have cameras lol
