Yes exactly, I highly doubt I can possibly get caught, I'll run yous through this place I'm growing. First of all, you can't get to it by car, I've scouted the place before I planted for weeks apon weeks and no one comes thru, I ride my unregistered dirtbike there (backup excuse if I get caught in there around the plant is that I always come here just to ride) I cover my footprints on the way out(sand floor) and I only visit 2-3 times a week. The main reason I'm doing it is so that I can make some spending money to help set myself up or just to make some money, it's also to help me learn for when me and my mate get our own place and be housemates, we can grow and make money to help up with college/university
Well good on ya mate ;?) sounds like you've put some thought into it and got most of your ducks in a row. Some rules I try to keep in mind with guerrilla grows:
1) Having a good alibi for why you're in the area is always number one when out tending to your grow. It's a dead giveaway if you stumble upon a cop/fed/ranger walking around in the middle of nowhere and when they ask you what you're doing, you have to pause nervously, and then blurt out something stupid like, "Uh, just bird watching, officer", and you without a pair of binoculars, or a field guide, or a journal etc. on your person, lol. That IS one ploy I've used, just a nature lover out enjoying Mother Nature and looking for mushrooms, butterflies, rare frogs, whatever, just have to have a few items to make it look real.
2) Of course the spot you pick should be well scouted and off the beaten path, as you've obviously done. Some additional things to look for would be:
* A Southern (or in your case Northern) exposure for best sun, and not too many trees that might block out much sunlight (a few are ok depending on how much shade they cast and for how long each day).
* Water nearby if possible (slogging water on foot any distance SUCKS ;?)
* A higher vantage point (preferably on your route in) that lets you check out your area before you get to it, just to make sure you're not going to run into someone (not a must have, but nice to avoid surprises).
* Someplace to hide tools, nutes, water buckets etc. You can use fallen or hollowed out trees, a small animal den, a hole you dig, or just have a small camo tarp to cover your stuff and then pile dead brush on top. That way you aren't carrying a bunch of stuff back and forth that would look out of place for a dirt-biker.
3) Avoid the temptation of visiting any more than necessary!!! Every visit increases your odds of running into someone, whether LEO or just ordinary people. MJ probably needs attention most during the first few weeks until it gets well established - feeding and keeping the immediate surroundings weeded and trimmed to avoid competition, treating for local pests, etc. But once they're large enough and thriving they can get by with minimal attention, just watering if it doesn't rain enough. I know the temptation is great, but the more visits the more you risk tipping someone off to the location, and that opens you up to getting ripped off. Once every seven to ten days, or if conditions are great even two weeks.
4) Then when it's harvest time, like Deno suggested, you can use a tarp to make a drying tent (if it rains a lot it needs to be waterproof). Run a rope between two trees, drape the tarp over it with rocks to hold it down good (especially if it gets windy there, don't want to come back and find your weed blown to the four winds, lol).
Then hang your branches inside and close it up as best as possible to keep out curious creatures (spraying animal repellent around the perimeter may be necessary depending on your situation ;?). Don't forget to pile some brush or branches over it to break up the outline - straight lines are easy to spot in nature, and don't know about where you are, but whether it's LEO or just nosy citizens, drones are getting more common and could spot it from the air.
Finally, depending on the ambient humidity, your crop should be dry in one or two weeks, at least enough to jar and let cure, and Bob's your uncle, lol ;?D
