Are these ready??

Took these cuts just about 2 weeks ago. C0C6165C-AA9C-4BD2-862D-4DB3D222DC92.jpeg

Root tips are starting to poke out the rapid rooters, and now they are coming through the bottom of their black plastic containers.

Should I worry about these roots being exposed and put them into 2” jiffy pots or something similar?

Well I did something...

It was a meshing of advice from you all, spacial limitations, and not having enough light for all my clones, that all came together into a veg room that now looks like this:

5 babies still left in the cloner, 3 of them have none to only a few little baby roots coming of the rapid rooters.

Immediately after transplant, the blades of the leaves all curled up at the tips and looked horrible. I went to go get water for them and when I got back they were wilted looking, appearing like they were gonna die! They bounced back, but now I am over capacity for my veg room already, uh-oh.

I’m debating throwing 4 of these clones into the vacant 2x2 square on my flower room. Day 3 of flower and the one in flower is starting to have some pistils develop, I think.

At this point, I have posted so many questions, in different sub-forums, that I am going to consolidate and start a perpetual journal, if not for the humor and education of the community, than a place for me to keep a log to track my own results. I welcome you all to follow me in my journey and chime in with any advice along the way!

I will post a link to journal here in the coming days!

I have super hard tap water, and I knew this going in. I have been buying RO filtered water from my local grocery store for like 2$/ 5 gal. Hasn’t been a huge expense just yet, but I am ready to just get a RO system and be done here in the coming months.

pH of water is at 7.0 without any nutes. The babies and veg doesn’t get nutes, as I’m in FFOF. Only MagiCal and Sugar Daddy.

sorry for the side track, but since Phriendly talks about "super hard tap water", has anyone tried bringing that down to a more acceptable pH by using simple, natural, and, well, cheap, means such as pure lemon juice or vinegar?

After all, we're looking at citric acid or acetic acid so, with my usual "in theory" caveat, it should be a relatively cheap method to regulate the water pH without nasty chemicals or any expensive brand named products which could do the same job.

Just one of my thoughts, why use expensive stuff when there's something more "natural" and "eco friendly" in a closet or the fridge in your own house?

My big thing about not using that water at all, is that there amhas to be something causing it to be that high of a ph. Therefore, would just dumping a bunch of base in it to correct the ph actually do anything, considering the dissolved solids that have caused the ph drift haven’t been corrected or dealt with? Regardless of the method used to correct the ph?

Well, my theory is that the biggest issue with "harder" water is the calcium in it which will raise the pH, so you use the acidic stuff to neutralise that side of things.

It's all going to depend on what is in the water, and everyone's water is different, but solely for pH and nothing else then, again in theory, you could take a small glass of the water and then figure out how much acidic stuff is needed to bring that down.

Doesn't have an effect on anything else in the water, I'm only thinking pH because my mind can work in mysterious, sideways, ways (I always think sideways, otherwise you think the same as everyone else and that means you'll get stuck in a queue behind everyone else who doesn't).

It's a theory, and maybe someone else knows more.
