Led is def the way to go. I built a cob board for veg. I'm debating on doing cobs for the flowering. Or quantom boards. Both put on a show. Both yield and have trich production through the roof.

I’m in a winter climate and use leds, but I run a sealed room maybe that’s why I don’t need the extra heat?
That makes sense. I run sealed in the summer months. I pull outside air into my rooms for exchange and cooling in the winter when using my hps, then cap off ducting to seal the room off in summer months so I can use the AC and the cob led's.

Im still getting.my new outdoor shed setup dialed in

Im in a cold climate so i just intake fresh air into my veg room cause them girls can stay a little chilly and stay slow :) then through a light proof vent into my flower room. With de huey.

In the summer months i direct vent into the flower room from under the shed wich has a big airspace of shaded ground for cooler air in the summer.

No ac yet.

Also plan on building some leds after i get more up to speed on them . Building is not a problem
But knowing what to use takes some study. For me

Since insulating my spot I haven't needed a heater either. Lowest temp I've experienced so far this year has been 66*F and thats during some frigid single digit nights. I get RH spikes when lights go off so I have a dehu that I run during lights off. This helps keep the temps regulated as well.
Ok just did the money order method.

I snagged the texas butter and the orange blossoms.

I wanted to wait till it got cheaper but didnt want to lose the butter
if you got those 2 on the same order at a good price you did alright my friend. I find it hard to line up multiple buys from the auctions in one order. I usually just buy a couple packs from auction and mail in both payments at the same time.
I've paid cash on every order I've placed so far (like 16 packs over 12 or so orders) and never had a problem. I also send it priority mail with tracking and send GPS an email with the tracking number. They start processing my order right after they get the email with the tracking #. Hell, they have even shipped out my order before they even got my payment. I wind up getting my beans a day after they recieved my cash lol. One of the most reliable banks I've ever bought from.

Its not that hard man.Took me a couple reads to get it but @Growmau5 explains it pretty damn good in his videos.Once you get it figured out and use the LED COB driver tool to get the configuration right.
I think most of the cobs are pretty much the same now in technology. The veros are bad ass and the best bang for your buck. The crees will give you more low voltage options..Its the Forward voltage is what is important when you are pairing them up with the right driver.
The way i did was figured out the grow space, multiplied the square footage by 40 and that told me how many watts i needed.I wanted 15 cobs to cover a 4x5 so i needed to find the right configuration to get as close to my wattage i wanted as possible. Its better to run more cobs at a lower wattage than run less at higher for efficiency.Butit cost more money for cobs and heatsinks.

Yeah if they know you have sent them cash before Gu will go ahead and mail out your order as long as you let them know or they see you are a good stand up customer.

I feel like a true breeder should have the ability to sift through 1000s and test their own seeds or close friends whose garden u have access to, tbh that's the only way they are really gonna know how good/consistent the seeds will be.
Of course that's not feasible for most especially running thru 1000s, sending out 'testers' is better than no one 'testing' them at least... not many people are really what I think are 'breeders' though, just pollen chuckers that make f1 crosses mostly, that's fine as there's good chuckers with fire genetics but just not at the stage breeding will be at, using lab testing, working lines a lot more, sifting through many, many plants. f1s are great and keep more diversity so no issue with that, just too much hype pollen chucking and releasing/selling every seed made rather than using them for a another project refining the line for better yield/structure or even resin quality...
I understand your idea here on breeding.
I don't feel that is the best way to breed.
Too many plants, too easy to forget the goals you planned. Even through keeping the best records.
It's overwhelming!!
Besides the breeders that use this technique, are only looking for the healthiest plants that grow fast, have the best structure, smell and so forth.
They seem to always cull the weaker ones and mutants.
They do this simply because they have thousands to pick through.
But those aren't always the best!
Breeding comes from knowing how to select, not just picking the ones as previously described.
I am not gonna give away too much info,
By going through thousands they will find nice looking plants, but not necessarily the best.

hey buddy , what is your opinion on guttation (plant sweating at night) , i read very different things on the subject going from "perfectly normal for a happy plant " to " overfeeding / watering problem " , i tend to believe the first one as the plant itself looks just gorgeous with amazing growth (6 node in 39 days from seeds) , i grow in a flood and drain clay pellet setup and flod on a 6h period solution is at a stable 5.8 pH and 1800 ppm ( i am trying to push the ppm limit those can take (from marshydro700 for seedlings ) , but have no nute burn deficiency sign ) , not the first time i see it but curious to dig the subject a tad more.

It sucks that you've gotta go to page 3 to find anything in stock.
Why keep showing strains that are sold? It just delays them being re-listed...
I wonder if they can tell who has what in a cart?

I still dont like that they put a card order through when it said in red letters it did not go through.

I agree you can get fire from a runt or mutant.

But id rather have a breeder who has sifted through the chaff.

They just need to be honest when saying if a strain is stable or not.. i dont mind pheno hunting.
But not if im buying a single fem seed lol

But i do agree any plant could be a gem thats why i dont throw away any bag seeds i get :)

The only issue I have is the females gu uses sometimes he doesn't specify if it's a clone or seed.like hickock haze.i don't think he used the ghost train haze clone.i think he got a pack or two of seeds and sprouted them out and took the best female.the hickock haze I grew sucked balls.as the strain was also discontinued fairly quick.
so I'm just wondering how many cuts he is breeding with vs buying those strains in seed form and selecting a female to breed with his stardawg.
I've ran quite a few rare dankness seeds and always fire in them packs. If he' is buying seed packs and selecting from them than that would be shitty on some of his strains.

Sounds like some of the strains GU crosss aren't "true-breeding".
Maybe that's how they end up on the discontinued list???
Again, not complaining but my pack of chinook haze has some serious variation -- and it's on the discontinued list...
