During the early stages of growth when I begin attaching the plant to the screen, instead of pruning I tuck the fans behind the screen.
Only when growth of the face of the screen has grown enough do I remove that branches fan from behind the screen.
I would think that cutting fans in half is a waste of time, IMHO.

I just finished my 1st week of flower today and they are crazy bushy. I don't know if I can wait until day 21 of flower to trim them again

I drank the koolaid and am trying the three a light tech this run. I tested it on some GG#4 from last round and I did have a better yield in comparison to 7 other Gg#4 on the same table.
A couple of buddies are running it as well and have increased their returns. Obviously there are a ton of other variables that lead to yield but I am going to go all in this round.
Strip them out on day 1. If you check out the three a light sight you can see how hard they strip, I went a little lighter then that.
Then strip them again between day 18-21.
Seems pretty crazy to me, I have been using the same tech for many moons, 7 gals 5 weeks veg, lollipop hard week before flower.
Can’t improve without trying new stuff I guess.

That is what is advertised. He says a 1000 no matter DE or old school. I doubt 3 is reality but the tech seems interesting.

I am through my first week of flower. I’m pretty sure I’m gonna need to strip down some of the lower fan leaves, as they are getting zero light penetrating through this 2’^2 canopy.

Update:
Day 16 Flower;
Did a bit of pruning last night, pulling a bunch of fan off that was below the screen level. The light was not getting any penetration down to that level of the plant, and the leaves were all droopy, almost sagging to the soil. I have also been cutting a fan leaf off if it is blocking direct light to a main bud spot. I don’t have another plant to use as a contol to test if this is better or worse for my plant, but she appears to be very hearty and healthy at this point. I’m still mid week 3 so, she is still stretching, and already at most top points she is taller than my iPhone + above the scrog.
