Altered Carbon

Didn't want to read most of this thread in fear of spoilers. I just downloaded and watched the first episode last night, looking forward to this one. The protagonist was awesome in The Killing, but he must have taken 'roids and lived in the gym for the last few years: he was a skinny meth head on the killing, now he's buff and shredded as hell. It's impressive when someone pulls a Chris Pratt like that...
I'm currently in the process of pulling one of those .Been in the process for like 5 years with no end in sight but….

The funniest part is I typed that while shoveling white cheddar popcorn into my mouth.

I am hooked too. Me and my 30 year old son ripped a big fat white widow and watched 3 episodes. I really like it.

Well it's good to hear there may be a series worth watching on NF right now. Love scifi so I'll check it out. Waiting patiently for 'Better Call Saul' and 'Orange..'.
Watched 'The Ritual' last night and that was not bad. For a horror movie... some Blair Witch elements. But pretty good story, acting, and the effects when the monster is revealed late in the movie are good. Some surreal scenes. Warning: British accents.

I'll go as far to say that Altered Carbon is probably the "coolest" new show in recent years. But I get a hard on for sci-fi. Especially the ones that delve into concepts of what constitutes/means to be human etc. Atleast the conscious emotional angle.

NF is actually making some awesome bingeworthy tv right now. I had an android box that went south and I do not even miss it with NF and Crave and regular cable.

If you want to see the Mighty Maple Leafs win the cup and the Glorious Green Bay Packers play you must have cable.

Alex Godman, the English-raised son of Russian mafia exiles, has spent his life trying to escape the shadow of their past,
building his own legitimate business and forging a life with his girlfriend, Rebecca.
But when a murder unearths his family's past, Alex is drawn into the criminal underworld where he must confront his values to protect those he loves.

A weak copy of a current Russian soap...this like the soap is boring one death in 2 hours of film ..= boring ...lol

Then you must love Westworld. Too bad it's only on every other year, such an intricate show to produce...

I've never seen it. Really have only heard the name really. Should I check it out?

Definitely the best show since Breaking Bad imo. If you like AC you will absolutely LOVE WW, every aspect about it is mindblowingly top notch. I'm jealous that you have two seasons of it to watch, let me know what you think.

Even the trailers and opening credits rock...

Haven't seen the series, but the original movie from 1973 was really good, at least for the times, quite innovative. Haven't seen the movie since it was new
