I'm new to this stuff too, but I went with Green RX they have a 2 part grow and 2 part bloom nute package. And you can get the bulk feed to go along with it. So far I'm having rapid results. Fastest I've ever seen it grow. However that could be a big part of DWC. Learning curve for sure. I'll be interested to see what others recommend on your thread too. Happy harvesting! Yes you will need a base nutrient. Most companies have either a two or three part "formula".

General Hydroponics (three part, or "lucas formula" for a two part), Advanced Nutrients, Canna, are the first big three that come to my mind.
Remo Nutrients - although I've never tried them.

I used gen hydro Flora 3 part with floralicious plus for 8 years. It's solid and relatively cheap. Recently switched to megacrop and it's pretty much the same except a little more clear and in powedered form. Also you can get a free 230 gram sample from megacrop if you pay the $2 shipping. That's enough for like most of a run I think depending on total gallon

Don't forget...MegaCrop is about a 1/4 of the price of General Hydroponics as well as being a all in one nutrient. Good stuffs.
