I had one split, then grow a third right out of the cut lol
Well it let all the other branches catch up ..There should be a lot of tops when it’s all said and done....On the pic with the three tops the leaves under it is the side branches from the first node ..When I tied them down the first nodes stretched to the topI like topping. People also FIM which gives up to four tops I think instead of 2. But I never mess with that too much. Topping works just as well
I sure will give it a try to see how it all turns out thanks for the tip....Lookn good man. Nice and lush and green, you're rockn that Mega-Crop. I would do a fan leave strip the 1st day of flower. After the first 12 hour night cycle. When the lights come on. Strip alot of your fans. Then do it again on day 20. When you top like that. You an excess of fans leaves. If you strip 90% of them. It will increase your yield atleast 10% maybe more. Strain dependent of course. Don't be afraid to remove them. Some people say you shouldn't. But exotic genetics does it. And a guy wrote a book about it. He does it on day 1 and day 20. He pulling 3lbs per 1k in a 7gal smartpot.... They will grow fans in flower all the way up to about day 35ish roughly. Give or take. You can look him up on IG. His name is 3alight. His book is selling for $500+ and flying off the shelves. Mike from exotic lives by this guys book. He actually strips every big fan. I left 10 decent fans on the Marz Cookies. On day 20. I didn' do day one. I forgot. But in two days. I have 17 fans. But I let a ton of light hit bud sites that normally wouldn't get direct light. Use scissors. Don't pull them off. Cut them close to the main branch they are on.
When I did my temp on the day 20 flower I just went ahead and done them all even know that we're on day one or day 20 other than one plant but I pulled off 2 plastic Walmart grocery bags stuffed to the brim of families so I mean don't be afraid to remove themI sure will give it a try to see how it all turns out thanks for the tip....
I figured I’d give it a try and see what it does this run there not gonna be to Big since I’m gonna flower quickly so I can run some unreleased gear...I defoliated lightly this run on tuesday and when i checked today there was a significant difference. I think defoliation in moderation works
If the guy is pulling 3 pounds dry product per 1000 watts by stripping heavily. And he's not jus some guy. I believe he's out there and known. When you top you gain 1 extra fan to what you already have. Per bud site. That can add up rather quickly. And block a ton of light that is wasted essentially.I defoliated lightly this run on tuesday and when i checked today there was a significant difference. I think defoliation in moderation works
Yeah one of the guys was saying people were getting serious yields with heavy defol. Id just be afraid i would take off too much. I mean subcool has an article about defoliation and he knows his stuffIf the guy is pulling 3 pounds dry product per 1000 watts by stripping heavily. And he's not jus some guy. They will grow more fans. I promise. Leave a few towards the bottom. A few older ones. As it stretches and puts out bud sites. It shoots out 2 fans per node. It makes a ton of difference. And jus a tad of info. Sub is an idiot.Yeah one of the guys was saying people were getting serious yields with heavy defol. Id just be afraid i would take off too much. Don't forget to take daylight savings time into thought. Spring ahead march 11th lolQuick question I usually don’t give it much thought but wanted some opinions should I leave the lights off till 6:00 pm tomorrow night or should I let them come on tonight at 6:00 pm since they are switching to flowerthe fans are on in there just no lights..The lights went off at 8:15 this morning so that would be a lot of dark time but my on and off times will be on at 6:00 pm and off at 6:00 am
I'd just set the lights to turn on at 6pm tonight and just set it to flowerQuick question I usually don’t give it much thought but wanted some opinions should I leave the lights off till 6:00 pm tomorrow night or should I let them come on tonight at 6:00 pm since they are switching to flowerthe fans are on in there just no lights..The lights went off at 8:15 this morning so that would be a lot of dark time but my on and off times will be on at 6:00 pm and off at 6:00 am
