Hey everyone! I have a very simple question. I grow good quality product, with lab results to prove it, and i want to sell it to a dispensary. I know the procedure of contacting the dispensary amd getting their specific requirements but what license do i need to be able to walk in to any shop and legally offer them my product? I have done some research but am having a hard time finding the exact answer to my question. If i have my growers license in oregon but my grow is not registered will that prevent me? And if so how much does it cost to get my location licensed.

There is much more to it than just growing good weed and having lab results. You'll need to be licenced by OLCC. You want to start here: http://www.oregon.gov/olcc/marijuana/Pages/default.aspx

You'll need to fill out this 11 page marijuana producers license: http://www.oregon.gov/olcc/marijuana/Documents/Licensing_Forms/mj_app_pro_packet-FILLABLE.pdf

It's more complicated than you think and there is tremendous competition out there. At this point if you're not already setup and established you're pretty much late to the party. My advice would be to grow for yourself and forget about selling to the dispensaries. There is a glut of marijuana in Oregon.

The issue your going to have is there’s a thousand other much better growers than you and have already established themselves in any particular dispensary. For them to buy yours you would have to have a good bit of product and more than likely catch them when they’re low. What do your lab results show anyhow. Is it just thc and cbd content or does it show there were no bugs, molds and pesticides used and the breakdown of all of the other variations of thc and such?

Even if ingored there’s always a better grower out there than you, me and everyone in between. He’s late in the game and that’s a fact. Sorry I hit a nerve but sadly it’s the truth.

It's too bad threads end up going south so often. But it is what it is.

This pertains to the state of Oregon.

Regarding becoming a commercial grower which is what you need to be to sell to dispensaries. It's much more complicated and expensive than most people think. If you're growing at home and think you'll get a license to sell your excess weed don't bother. It's not worth the cost to become licensed by OLCC if they would even license a home grow for commercial sales. You could perhaps find a small clientele of medical users. I think the requirements of that are different. I looked into it at one time but after reading the application for a producers license I quickly moved on.

In addition to this packet, you will also need to upload the following into the online licensing system:
 A copy of a completed Land Use Compatibility Statement from the local government
 A lease, deed, purchase documents, or other documents showing the applicant has legal access to the property.
 A boundary sketch for the proposed premises and floorplans for all structures within the licensed area, as described in “Premises Map Instructions” form.
 Documentation for each water source to be used such as a billing statement, contract, or Exempt Use form from the Oregon Water Resources Department: https://www.oregon.gov/owrd/docs/Marijuana_Producer_Exempt_Water_Form.pdf
 Information on the structure of the business proposed to be licensed:
o A Marijuana Business Limited Liability Company (LLC) Questionnaire for any limited liability companies involved in your licensed business.
o A Marijuana Business Corporate Questionnaire for any corporate entities involved in your business.
o A Sole Proprietor/Other Entity form for any other persons or entities that will hold the license.
o A Marijuana Business Individual History form for each person identified as an applicant as required by the above questionnaires
 (After submitting your application) Proof of successful test completion from Metrc for the Cannabis Tracking System (CTS) Once your application is accepted and assigned to an OLCC License Investigator, you may be required to submit additional information. Your license investigator will communicate any additional requirements for your application.

Then there is the actual application
http://www.oregon.gov/olcc/marijuana/Documents/Licensing_Forms/mj_app_pro_packet-FILLABLE.pdf

Be prepared to spend a significant amount of money just to get licensed with no assurance that you'll ever sell a single gram of weed to a dispensary. And with the price of weed in Oregon you could easily end up losing money.

I have no issues with a guy trying to get involved in making a few bucks before the man takes over.

But, in washington state at least that time has arrived.

Pretty much the same thing in Oregon. To make it work you're going to need a bunch of cash and definitely good connections. Without that you'll just spin your wheels.

Everything you said. Unless you have a buddy that owns a dispensary or the money to get vertically integrated (have a retail site for your own product) then you're not just late to the party, it's a sold out show.

Not to mention that in Oregon you have to have every single piece of equipment in place with fully finished infrastructure before you start a plant to have them show up to do a final inspection with no guaranty that you'll even get the license.

I was simply being real with you. Now if you had said you already had a place willing to buy your stuff it would have been a different. Do you know how many ppl come around and think that now since they’re growing damn I’m gonna make a little cash and get disappointed. You still have the issue of getting @xtsho has given you. I also wasn’t saying you had shit weed I was simply saying as I said to big horn everyone thinks their shit is the best BUT there’s always someone better and as you can see I wasn’t the only person who told you the same or close to the same. So if you took me as an asshole that’s fine it doesn’t hurt my feelings any just trying to give you the truth in the matter.

Other than jumping through all of the rec hoops you can still sell as an ommp grower but only to ommp only dispensaries.

The truth is there are solid business models that can turn out low to mid 6 figure revenue streams per acre per year just growing high value quick turn over food crops. The weed market will hold a better value for a while but will end up around the same margins but with more competition.
