I would go with HLG authorized resellers. Many have inadvertently (and some intentionally) bought so called QB panels from various sites, but recent reports show the diodes are not genuine Samsung hardware.I know a lot of people order their quantum boards off of growerslight.com, has anyone ordered their qb boards off of alibaba or similar sites? For $135 u can get two 304 boards, Heastink, hlg 240 2100b driver, everything needed to make a light just like growerslights.com. Are these a waste of money or the same tech u get from preserving from growerslights.com?
You will probably lose a little effeciency from Alibaba but unless you have a full spectrum par meter you will never notice. I have a 600h kit it's great but the spread kinda sucks going with 2 300 kits would be better. Also the carabiners that come for the heatsink are garbage do not use them I had 3 bend really bad and 1 breakI know a lot of people order their quantum boards off of growerslight.com, has anyone ordered their qb boards off of alibaba or similar sites? I would not put it in a 5x5 the spread is pretty bad it's a great light if your running a few of them but for anything smaller than a 4x8 I would recommend 300w kitsWould the HLG 600h kit be good enough for a 5x5? or is there something else that would do a much job in terms of coverage.
what about the 600h in a 4x4? strongly considering it currently.I would not put it in a 5x5 the spread is pretty bad it's a great light if your running a few of them but for anything smaller than a 4x8 I would recommend 300w kits
I'll try to remember to map some ppfd it wasn't very good at the edges. I think it's more of a direct replacement for a 1000w hps it has a big hot spot in the center so you have to hang it kinda high.what about the 600h in a 4x4? strongly considering it currently.
shouldn't be a problem. it is going in a gorilla tent so it's almost 9' tall.I'll try to remember to map some ppfd it wasn't very good at the edges. I think it's more of a direct replacement for a 1000w hps it has a big hot spot in the center so you have to hang it kinda high.
There's some new stuff coming out soon in a much neater more waterproof package from several companies if you have time to wait I would hold out for 2 months. It's Chinese new year now so no factories are shipping anything now.shouldn't be a problem. it is going in a gorilla tent so it's almost 9' tall.
looking at that and the redwood vs from timber

would prefer to pay $100 less for the qbs tho
