I'll say it again.....sure looks like rot to me. Not sure if well water could cause it but I'm on well and my issue has always been temps till I chilled the water.
My water is under 70 all the time ... I am so upset right now, lost almost 4 month with this hydroponic try Dunno maybe trasplanting to coco coir would help? Or is it too late?I'll say it again.....sure looks like rot to me. Not sure if well water could cause it but I'm on well and my issue has always been temps till I chilled the water.
You cant imagine how crazy this shit driving me... No, some of plants does not look healthy any more... Leaves have strange symptoms turning some kind of odd green spots and turning dry...I would lose the dark nutrients. You have pearly white root tips. You said it’s healthy up top? That brown would drive me crazy.
Perhaps you could add some more info to help him out seems the staining is getting worse .You have every right to disagree. Everyone does......Now on to the answer.
The amount of staining varies due to the variable amount of cellulose fiber that the roots are "shedding". This is due to root mass per root and other variables of root growth and age....Other things too.
The staining will be more present on roots with that cellulose being shed then those that have shed it. Think of roots like a snake. As they grow, they shed their "skin" to keep growing....
Any bottled "zyme" product is a specific "group" of living bio's that actually do the consuming of that shed "skin." And the brown staining is the "basically" still being consumed version of that cellulose fiber.
This staining is partly due to the chemical compounds in the nutrient line, Reacting to the whole process of growing...
There are nutrient lines that basically do not have that "browning" effect.
The brown waste material that collects on the bottom of any container in the hydro system. Is that consumed cellulose fibers.....
Lastly. If it was root rot. His plants would be in bad shape. Drooping and weak, with imbalances showing. Some looking like pH issues too.
Some can hit so fast that they looked good one day and the next they're completely drooped and looking like they have dried out in soil and need watering.
That type is a sure sign of res temps over 70 deg F....
That help Budley?
Hence I suggested a week or so back to put some of your plants in coco. Wash and trim the roots back some what and remove some leaves, plant in coco and they may well recover. My water is under 70 all the time ... I really don't know what it could be. I keep the temps consistently at 66-67 and have not had issues, again it could be something else I guess I'm no expertMy water is under 70 all the time ... How big is your air pump low DO levels promote root rot even if your temps are low.You cant imagine how crazy this shit driving me... No, some of plants does not look healthy any more... Leaves have strange symptoms turning some kind of odd green spots and turning dry...
Ph is risingAlso is ph dropping or raising in your res?
Air pump is 5w hailea, 7.2 l/min... Should not be the reasonHow big is your air pump low DO levels promote root rot even if your temps are low.
I'll do it tomorrow, should be done it already... My DIY hydro systems goes garbageHence I suggested a week or so back to put some of your plants in coco. Wash and trim the roots back some what and remove some leaves, plant in coco and they may well recover.
You do have the rot which is sad, hope you can get it sorted.
Did you stick them in 100% coco?I feel your pain to be honest as I had the same problems, but took my own advice and 2 weeks later with the plants in coco, everything is going well and getting ready to go 12/12 this weekend.
Ph rising is good. Less of a chance of it being root rot, that’s a small pump for 18 gallons. Remember coco has it own range of problems. It sounds like they may have been stained by those nutrients. Again let’s see how the whole plant looks to really get and good picture of how they’re doing.Ph is rising

Lol I don’t worry with big brother. They have all my info from the military and the va so meh. My 27 gal totes which are two at the moment use a 70 lpm pump.I dont want to take picture on a smartphone because big brother is watching, you know . Anyway plants looked absolutely fine till I filled the container to the max (to the bottom of net pots) and stopped top feeding.
Now there started to appear some dark/odd color spots on leaves, and they are drying the same way, I just remove them as I see new foarming.
And I miss calcutaled the container it is 10 gal total when filled to the bottom of net pots
See that’s my thing with mega crop it mixes like dirty shit water but my roots stay fairly white. As long as they’re not slimy.I cut my rootball off and had new pearly whites growing back better then ever in a week and a half using hydroguard even with higher temps
I hate nute stain its why im running chem grow now
Holy shit i love clear nutes white is right with roots ha ha
