Weird thing going on in veg

hey guys so it’s day 17 in veg for my bruja purpura and we’ll im a little concerned. What does this look like to you nute burn? It’s only in 3 out of the 9 plants and one of them was also a really slow starter. I’m using fox farms ocean forest I’m starting to wonder if this soil is just way too hot for seedlings.other than that they still look healthy and growth hasn’t slowed down. Also I have a really strong led in a 2x2x4 tent so it could be the light is too strong also???

The 2nd pic the soil is too hot for the seedling, transplant to lighter soil it’s getting burnt up! The 1st pic seems to show some rusting on the leaf which could mean an early calcium def, don’t think it’s the light bro.

I’m sure someone will try to crucify my opinion but I wouldn’t be writing on a forum if I didn’t expect that, and it’s just that, an opinion.

That being said, I have a DIY two level closet, both top and bottom are 2x2x4 and I have a 4K HLG65 LED in one of which had the same issue.

On two out of the 5 plants I had the same exact problem, I took it as a calcium deficiency so what I did was mix a bit of bud & Bloom Booster fertilizer (I try to use all organic derivatives) with my soil and top dressed the base of the plant and watered.
Also added another fan in my setup because I felt it was too stagnant and the plants could use more oxygen.

The plants seemed to bounce back quickly but I am still keeping a close eye because it just as easily may return.

Pics are before and after. They were taken about a week apart. The plants have grown since then and look good. Good luck

It could be a case of you didn’t fix the problem and it didn’t go any further and the plant grew big enough to take the nutes from the soil and seemed healthy.

And it seems like you’re giving people half assed information based on looking at a picture.

The plant grew, so it grew out of the problem, by growing into what it needed in the soil.

The 1st couple I would say Ca/Mg
Are you using RO water?
I would add a Ca/Mg to your water.

Another thing to consider is that you just popped a bunch of seeds, each pheno will require something a little different.
The 2nd post pic, could have been a runt , so the soil burnt them because they didn’t have the vigor. The ones with the rust , could be heavier feeders and want Ca/Mg

I have a C99 pheno that gets extra Ca/Mg
(Over double what her sisters get)
I have know idea why this one plant drinks it but it does. (Doesn’t overly matter because this is her last run, as I prefer her sisters)

Sounds good man good thing I bought some mag. How much of this would u feed per gallon?

As they get bigger, I keep uppin it , till I’m at about 1.5ml going into flower.
If your not using RO water then that could be way to much.

The rust will never heal , but take pics(for reference) n watch for more spots to appear or stop showing up . This will help you figure out the dose.

It's simply the seedling growing into being able to supply it's self what it needs in the right amounts.

Might start a bit strong in good soil but, like you see. It grow into it just fine..

I say your soil is good for the way it is....The seedlings, have shown they will grow into this soil and recover from any stress, pretty fast......Good to go!

Open the bag and spread the soil out..... Now dust the soil with a bit more then 1/2 cup of Dolomite lime.
add a gallon of course perlite (not too course)...

Mix well...

Your soil will have no more Ca/Mg problems.
This is a common problem for FFOF soil...
It will also run low on Ca and Mg later in the run - bloom....

You bought a bottled Ca/Mg that's made with Ca and Mg nitrate.....I avoid those and go for a Ca carbonate based Ca/Mg.....Lower N value and better buffering ability with plenty of Ca available for the plant.

Real good for RO use, especially in hydro applications.....Better pH stability down the road...

What?? Spring water is definitely not RO! Spring water has naturally occurring minerals in it, RO water strips most of all the minerals, heavy metals, and contaminates from the water.
