How to control heat in grow room?

Hey growers,

I would like to know how you all control heat in your grow room.

I would like to drop my tempreture down a few degrees about 4-5 degrees Celsius.

Now i know i could just put a portable AC in there and that will be that but I can't lol.

so any ideas you growers are willing to share to help me get my temps down will be very much appreciated.

I have my geothermal which has two zones one zone for the house one zone for my rooms. Then simply vent out with an exhaust fan as heat get 2 degrees past my preset keeping my rooms at a constant 74 degrees. I used just a really big fan before that with a speed controller and I could drop the temp down easily too.

I can't use an ac or a high watt electric device. so i was hopping to find a way to be able to drop the temp lower. I know venting works well to keep the temps at room, but i want my temps to drop a bit below room temps if its possible to do with out an ac.

Has anyone tried using a SWAMP COOLER instead of an AC in their groom room.

also it's a really small grow tent 3x3x6

Temps at night in grow room is 28 C i would like to drop it to around 25 or less. more important during flowering im still vegging

I was thinking if i could pull cool air from a window into the grow tent with ducting and a fan if it would be enough to drop the tempts inside.

Swamp coolers work to a certain extent, but keep in mind that it's a high maintenance solution and it will most likely raise the humidity levels in your room so be prepared for that. Bringing in cool air from outside is a better option if possible.

Can you pull cool air from under the house or at least drop the temp of the room you are pulling from

Simply get a fan and vent outside, create a negative pressure in the tent pulling fresh cooler air from the room the tent is in. That alone should drop the temp several degrees. I used to be able to drop y room almost 7 degrees doing this. If done right it’ll work just fine.

I mean how warm is the air in the room your pulling from? You hound be able to equalize the tents temp to get close to the rooms temp with a big enough fan pulling and venting quick enough.

the location is tropic. at night the temps are still pretty warm. I can't install and ac here nor do i want to, im not exactly home here. its not as simple as to turn on an ac or id have done that. i am trying to grow under the circumstances im facing. so far the plants are doing well. however the temps will have an effect during flowering.

28c is fine. That's not even swimming weather.

if you wanted to a cheap easy way to drop a couple of C's is to have a large iced jug inside the tent next to the intake. (like a 3 litre milk bottle filled with water and frozen.)

thanks mate ill give this a try.

i wouldn't have all this issues if i could set it up the correct way i wanted but it wouldn't be possible here so improvising is my best bet to get some.

My set up isn't ideal either and I sometimes see spikes of 35c in the tent and a regular temp of just over 30c (even running the light at night and with the Ice) Buds are still dense and the quality is still pretty good so don't worry to much.

great info mate. thanks this made me feel a bit more relaxed to know i won't get air buds or weak potency.

the room is isolated and connected only by a walk way the leads to the main area. the power supply to the area is limited to a few hundred watts so using to many equipment will cause an issue with the system. i actually sleep in this room most nights its my second work area ( research kinda thing ).

i am planning on creating a better venting system tho. i've notice the night wind can be really cold. planning to run a vent to low a window and suck some cold air in at night. i only run lights at night and 4 hours in the morning. Can't risk a fire in this place, reason I'm going trough all this for some grow is because its much better than the medicine im using that causes kidney damage eventually. this on the other hand has no bad side effects thats harmful. really important to me, plus i just feel so much better growing my own medicine has a nice feel to it.

I do buy in some weed when i get the chance to but growing my own stuff seems to be much more rewarding and cost effective in the long run.
