No side branching

Hey Hey,

About 5 weeks into veg and I have no side branching? I’m gonna induce flowering next week only because of personal reasons.
The plants are about 5 inches tall now ( us that normal? I thought they’d be bigger)

Environment for veg:
Temp always between 72-80
Humidity always around 50-60
600w led at 24 inches away from plants

I did over water them the first 2 1/2 weeks

Seems a little small for 5 weeks. What medium, are you doing nutes, light, temp, RH?

Once there over watered they do take a few weeks to get back into the swing. I'm just going thru the same thing and lost a month of growth.
Its really important to get things right at the start.

MiracleGrow Organic pH always at 6.8 -7
Nutes:
1st week pH water 6.8
2nd week 1/4 strength FF Big Bloom pH 6.9
3week 1/2 strength FF Big Bloom, 1/4 strength FF Grow Big ph 6.8
4th week 1/2 FF Big Bloom 6.8
5th 1/2 FF Big Bloom 1/2 strength Big Bloom 6.9

Plant looks healthy. PH seems high, even for soil (not sure how well MG organics buffers that's all).
You may have some minor nute lock out potentially from PH. Can you get picks of it under normal light?

An actual 600w led or does the box just say 600w like the mars hydro 600?

Raise that light a little higher or the plant will stay very compact, and then top the thing it will branch out fine. Also cut out all the bloom shit, should be straight veg nutes at this stage and for the first 2-3 weeks of switching to 12/12.

you could also get a t5 lamp in 6500K, the higher the K number, the more it'll make the plants stretch

Pretty sure you've got that backwards, and higher K means broader leaves and less stretch

Thanks for the replies and funny enough, the day after I posted this I started noticing little tiny side branches! Haha
