So I did a little work this past weekend and things are starting too lookup....I have pics of the upgrades I did along with pics of my girls...I will list the changes I made too my growing area firs
#1- THE ROOM I have my tents in is air conditioned and set @18°
#2 -INKBIRD TEMP CONTROL. i purchased,wired up and installed an inkbird ITC-1000 TEMP controller.It does both heating and cooling,so i have my exh fan plugged into the cooling side,and the stat set too 72°.With the main room @18° and the stat set at 72,the fan exchanges the air in my tent approx very 10minutes.I have nothing hooked too the heating side as I figure 18c° is right around 66°f and that is likely a good lights out temp anyways...I always had an exh fan,I had it on a timer set too come on every 45mins,run for 20mins and shut off...it worked but not as well as my new setup..
#3-LIGHTS......so I have been using mars hydro lights.In this 4'x2' I have 2 x pro ii 80's and 1 reflector 48.with all 3 lights on full power I was at 395 watts of burple light.I had created another post on this forum looking for info too help me put some cobs in my mars fixtures,using the mars heatsink,fan and drivers......I didn't get any insight on that so I had another Chinese 4cob style light I had purchased pretty cheap but couldn't use as the heat it put off was insane....Anyways in the pics you will see I replaced the stock (epistar?) 48v cobs with 4 luminus cxm22's mounted with ideal holders.....this light as delivered had an efficiency of 19.81lm/w.......I don't know much about leds,but I do know that has gotta to be around what a wax candle would put out....i actually bought 6 cxm22's w/holders from a local light builder for a good price as they are 2700k 90cri,but I am on a title budget here...and these cmx22 are a huge leap forward in every aspect...so i mounted the luminus cobs on the heatsink that came with the fixture,i knew the drivers were 48v,1050mA cause I tested them before i ordered anything....i upgraded the fans and instead of having them pull heat outta the fixture and try too get it away from the heatsinks,i turned then around and have the fans blowing cool air against the heatsink/holder/cob setup.This light in had both a reflector and a lense,likely the manufacturer was trying to increase iñtensity...not sure,by i mounted the heatsinks on the lense mount.....i still have my 2 mars pro ii 80's in the tent,i have the bloom switches off,so only on veg mode,I wanna see if there is enuff red from the 2700k cmx22's too have a full spectrum coverage.Something seems too be working,my plants look totally different,in a good way !!
