So my plants are about 3 weeks old from seed. And wanted to know how soon can you top your plants? Here are my plants. Stain is God's gift. Can i top them or should I wait?

If you insist on topping, I would remove as little material as possible, just pinch out the growth tips on the end of the branch.

Training (for me) is more about preventing unwanted growth and encouraging growth where I want it. Some people treat it as a simple method to take off all the unwanted growth after the fact.
The problem is plants grow in 4 dimensions, time being the 4th. Any growth will affect the other parts of the plant, so I don't allow the plant to waste energy or space on unwanted shoots and branches.

They do appear healthy but they also seem small for three weeks. Is it cold in your grow area or is the light kind of weak?
Yea I had an issue while they were seedlings that set them back on growth for a bit. That' why they are kind of small for 3 weeks but they look healthy now. And as far as lights I have 2 35watt leds for now. Do you think they need more light? I have a 400 watt hps I could use

I think you should be cool to veg with what you got but you might want to use that 400w for flowering.

I always hear to wait for around the 3rd or 4th node. But you could technically get away with it after its first true leaves appear. If you do this i suggest a loupe and tweezers as what you would be topping is tiny. I would advise prob 3 or 4 nodes up though.

Sounds good I'll just wait to top them then. I just don't to stress them since they kinda started off slow

Thats the best frame of mind my friend. They will let you know when they are ready. Stay on this mindset, listen to your ladies and all will be well.
