Am I flowering?

Hey it's all good, I wasn't intending to be pushy. We are all a team and you're right, there's no saying it couldn't grow male flowers. I had a light leak recently and will admit I pulled a couple of plants 1 week early to avoid pollen from the male flowers that started forming. Luckily the pheno was a fast finisher to begin with! Rock solid.

It happens sometimes whether by genetic shortcoming or environmental cause.

Sorry to veer off topic,

Happy growing all :leaf:
Fortunately seed stock i have atm is very good, and i havnt had any homaphrodites since growing inside, but several years ago when i was growing outside i had em. Different seeds. Ive got light leaks whether it be from the vent on my tent or the lcd display on my equipment. I reckon consistancy is the most effective thing. If theres a tiny leak happening 24hrs a day but during the day cycle the plants are getting blasted with quality light i reckon its fine. But as you say off topic. Im happy to pm, you seem like an interesting dude. Peace

Thanks for all of the replies!

So what I am gathering is I should not top them any more or remove any nodes at this point, at most possibly remove some fan leaves? I can still tie the nodes down into evenly spread out tops right? Run them in veg schedule another 2 weeks or so...?

I will keep a close eye on the sexing and post up any more questionable pics!

Yes first 2 pics are 2 different plants from the same batch of seeds I found in buds. Those were the first 2 I started seeing anything other than new nodes on yesterday. I have a few others, all but 1 are Gelato. The other one is Blue Cookie and it seems to be showing similar results. I will snap some pics of each plant and post up again...will try to make them a bit more clear if I can.

Well i then i do think the top one is male, and the second almost certainly female, Imho. 1 out of 2 not bad anyway.

All time favourite 90's album -

Nirvana "Unplugged, Live in NY". Their best performance by far.

I hate to say it dude, but you may have bananas. Time will tell. But i wouldnt leave em too long in veg, if you may be be disappointed. Good luck mate. I hope im wrong.
Do you think this is the case across the board on all of them? Also, how long do I have before the potential males become a problem with pollen? Annnnd...what should I look for as time rolls along?

To be honest i do. Check out "bananas", hermies. Looks like unopen stamen, and on the blue cookies, its getting quite ballsy and bunchy, and they have female pistol aswell. To be honest if it was me right now, and all my plants hermied, id just run em all through flower and use the material for bubble hash. Its a shame to already be this far growing/training your plants to just trash them.
Again, i hope im wrong. Good luck brother

3, 4, 5, 6 are definitely female.

Possible to be hermaphrodite but all herms start as female. No doubt!
Do you think 1 and 2 are swinging for the wrong team? Also, should I not top them one more time and just let them grow a week and flip to flower light schedule?

1 and 2 look a lot like males, but the easiest way to know is to find even one white hair (pistil) because only genetic females can grow them.

I would not top them, flip to 12/12 asap as long as they're already growing vigorously enough. If you topped less than a week ago, I would recommend waiting. As they flower, you will be able to clearly tell the sex and discard males. I do it all the time with my seedlings.

Ok cool thanks man!! I topped about a week ago I think but my short term memory is a bit fuzzy for some reason...I will give them one more round of 18 light then flip to 12/12.

Also if they're producing male flowers like crazy, you could wait and harvest the seeds and smoke the bud but yield is mostly seeds when they're pollinated from such a young age. Looks like densest bud you ever seen but after you remove seeds it is literally only tiny scraps of bud. Still potent, but less and harder to use. Plus side, the seeds produced would all be feminized but down side.... The fem seeds would all carry he hermaphroditic tendency.

If they turn out to all be herms, personally, I would just start over with some new genetics.

I hope that isn't the case, but it's all good because we learn a ton each grow.

Your plants look nice and healthy otherwise!

...or are these just more fan leaves and nodes? (The white cotton things are pipe cleaners used to train the plants)

The short answer is no, you're not flowering. With non fem seed they won't flower until you changer the light cycle. You will see those individual flowers at each node on every plant other than young plants from seed that basically haven't hit puberty yet.
