Growing in a sterilite 30 gallon tub with 3 CFLs and a LED light bar...2 100 watt CFLs and 1 150w cfl,the light bar is 12 watts... Is that enough light for one plant,or is it not

Well what kind of other lights do you have?

Also, what color temp are the cfls?

I would recommend a 400w HPS minimum with a dimmable ballast for small clone/seedling.
If you can afford it, there is an excellent sale on 600w HPS w dimmable ballast on Amazon for 119.00 comes with cheap but effective bat wing reflector, a super 600 hps bulb and a MH 600 bulb AND hanging hooks. Brand is called ipower. Check it out if you have a few dollars for a steal.

Good luck and questions are always welcome

I have soft whites and daylight CFLs... I couldn't fit the light that you're talking about cause I'm only working with a 30 gallon tub set up... I've seen some nice grows come out of them but they never said anything about what they did to get to the end result, you know what I mean??? I'm just looking for some people that are knowledgeable about this. Thanks for the help and I will take whatever advice you and anyone else can give me.

I understand now. I was under the impression that was your container size for one plant.

It will be hard to pull a decent yield from something so small but if that is your desire, I would use 18w if you have any. They are the most energy efficient per lumen... If not, others work fine as long as you use almost all soft white for flowering and all daylight for veg. I would use as many as I could fit while still being able to control temp. They will take much longer to mature and will not have as dense of a flower.

I have grown with 450w 22" x 22" 4" square ducted cfl fixtures that I built, but I graduated to mh after I became tired of high energy costs from running enough cfl to actually pull some weight.

I'm not trying to discourage you at all; it can be fun to try stealth micro grows, just be ready for the lower yield and extended grow cycle.

Good luck :peace:
