Cool, but this is what a 600w hps can do without even being fully dialed in yet.

I wasted money on led then i got smart an learned how to use them an what to buy. Who cares about power savings? Most spaces I've grown have a limit to the power. You will get higher gram per watt numbers with led if used correctly that is a fact. If you have a warehouse sure hps
is cool but 4x8 or smaller and it's just stupid to buy hps. I'm sorry you can't seem to turn your brain on long enough to figure out how to use led. No I'm not mad got a bunch of led grown nug how can it be mad with a full jar.
Here is a warehouse grow using led in 2016.so why wont an led support a warehouse grow?
gpw is meaningless. look at the lab results, Brix results, its plain as day, if you take the time to research.
led does not penetrate, does not metabolize as efficiently as hid lights, its proven year after year while
the led manu's play catch to the hid boss
Do you know if theyre still using leds now, after a couple years? Here is a warehouse grow using led in 2016.
They are using LumiGrow Pro 650™ HV LED Fixtures.
Welcome to led shoppingCan anyone direct any information about which Cree & Citizen COBs are best to buy for flowering there seems to be alot of different variations of similar products on ebay/their website
Well said. Very realistic answer. In order to properly outfit yourself with sufficient LED, you basically have to learn a new language.
If you don't have some grasp of basic electrical concepts, its even more difficult to learn.
Noted! I personally only know a basic level but can easily learn through reading (& will have assitance from someone who does) , i just dont want to waste time and money on the wrong items reading the wrong thingsIn order to properly outfit yourself with sufficient LED, you basically have to learn a new language.

Not blurples. PCBs and COBs are. That's to be expected though isn't it as LED are more efficient,?
The brofessor has spoken.I reckon there is a little to be said about the heat from a hps aswell, concerning enviroment, and can be subjective.
Where i a my enviroment is way too cold for pot 9 months of the year, to get great yield and quality. Especially during the night.
Running the 600hps saves me a shit tonne of heating costs. I just set my ambient temps on my thermostat.
Also you can feel a warm glow from the bulb, and feels just like a bright sun. The plants absolutely love that warm glow from a bulb aswell.
They think they are in the sun.
I started my DIY LED education with the growmau5 DIY videos on YouTube. DIY For Noobs( I think) was the first one I saw. That will get anyone with the desire a little peek into the wormhole....easily learn through reading
This generally doesnt make any sense to me.Sounds like grower error
Shave them legs, let the LEDs do the rest
He already mentioned them.Welcome to led shopping
Total pain in the arse. Like finding a needle in a bath full of shit.
There are good ones though. Im sure someone will tell you which ones.
It's called lollipoping, and it's generally a good practice, regardless of light source. Google "apical dominance".This generally doesnt make any sense to me.
If you have to strip a plant right down, just to save light and get a decent top canopy, imho, youve just wasted a few weeks veg time. Because you just stripped all that growth, time, light, and money into the bin.
Better off doing more plants in the same space, and get the same yield and canopy. Also saving a lot of veg time, and money.
If your plant is screaming for light, wont put out ontop and you have to strip your plants to get a decent canopy, your light penetration is shit.
Yeahh....but which manufacturers buy these chips? He already mentioned them.
Cree, Citizen, Bridgelux Veros, Luminus, Samsung
Finding quality LEDs isn't tough at all. You just have to know what to avoid.
This always baffles me, what exactly are people expecting in terms of light penetration?..... Does HID light go through leaves or something????light penetration
Time is time. Energy is energy, and dollars are dollars. It's called lollipoping, and it's generally a good practice, regardless of light source. Google "apical dominance".
They may as well, in comparison a lot of the timeThis always baffles me, what exactly are people expecting in terms of light penetration?..... Does HID light go through leaves or something????
The PAR value travels so much further before it fizzes out. They may as well, in comparison a lot of the time
