I work in a garden center in the greater SF Bay Area and I've been given the go-ahead to bring in a selection of products geared toward the beginning and "hobby" cannabis growers. No hydro gear, and probably no lighting other than T5s or maybe lower-end LED. Now that we are legal for recreational sales in the state, we've been hearing from people who want to test the waters. Several people have walked in and said they just picked up a couple of clones and asked, "What do I do now?". We have decided to keep it relatively simple and carry enough to keep them from walking out and going elsewhere. Probably looking to fill 12-15 feet of shelf space, not counting soil or pots.
I've been growing for quite some time and work to keep myself educated so I feel like I've got a decent handle on this, but would love input as I'm certain there are helpful thoughts out there that we can use to make this successful. For soil, we will go with Recipe 420 as we already have a vendor that carries it, and are likewise covered for fabric pots so I'd love to hear your ideas for nutes, supplements, pest control or anything else you feel would be useful.
Thanks very much for your input.
