I agree. Then again who would trust a guy whos actually an engineer playing the part of scientist. Dolph Lundgren is actually more qualified to be the science guy. Seriously, look it up.

I see this argument made fairly often, he is a mechanical engineering which is classified as an applied science, not all mechanical engineers can be considered scientists but he was involved in legit R&D and actually invented something still used to this day. Dolph is the man though, on top of being a legit genius the dude is so badass that home invaders saw his picture in his house and ran the hell away.

What we see on this show is definitely a scripted character but he is a real mechanical engineer, which requires him to have a strong grasp of physics and chemistry to have even been able to do his job, he will not be as knowledgeable as a person whose main focus are those subjects by any means though.
