Dude its a class B drug, thems just the max punishments for big international growers and stuff. The second they start jailing small scale growers they is going to have to build about double what they got now....
The problem is these hps guys don't understand the new leds output twice as much light as the crappy blurple ones they tried.

I'm glad we now know that you speak for all hps users. Now everyone can just check in with you when they want to know what hps users think. Saves time versus treating people like individuals with their own ideas.

I ran hps/mh for over a decade. No hate for HID from me. I just have different needs as a grower now.
I must say you could have said that before though.
I think light and your own enviromental factors go hand in hand.

Easier to just check in on the last ten or so years of hps grows that 1000's have freely posted then elect me as a Union leader if you want to compare multiple 3watt chipped leds to single point high intensity pressure light sources....
That's not fair 3w chips aren't even close to the most effecient

That is absolutely true. I've always tried to recognized that there are situations that call for different tools. I just wish people would be honest, reasonable and open minded. Saying current gen led is ineffective is just as silly as saying there is no place for HID. The problem is that people pick a team, become emotionally invested and only pay attention to facts that confirm their bias.
This applies to both sides of this debate and it's to the detriment of us all.

Why do led growers make out like hps makes everything hot and led is cooler, i barely need extraction for the minor amount of heat a hps bulb throws out, ambients are a little over room temp, not even hot really...
I find that too, if your extraction is strong enough.

For me it's a matter of less total heat because I can get the ppfd I need with less total watts combined with far less IR than HPS. Because of the reduced IR I have found that my plants actually prefer a higher ambient room temp because the gradient between leaf temp and ambient temp is so much smaller. So the combo of less total watts, running the room warmer to keep the leaf temps optimal, and more of the heat that is produced radiating upwards from the driver (rather than in the form of IR being sent onto the plants) means i do much less to keep my enviroment optimal than i did with HID. On the flip side, when the humidity gets high in the spring I have to fight harder to keep that in check than I did with hps
Learn to get along? Led users tell people what the output is they don't believe it that's the problem. You get more light per watt with the newest led. That is a fact it doesn't matter how good you can grow with hps the led give you more photons which can translate to more yield. The problem is hps users go around saying led is crap which is just not true. They made a mistake by not doing research an wasted money on shitty lights now they feel stupid and want to blame that on "LED" if you just own up to your stupid mistake and learn more about led you would be better off. No one argues that hps doesn't work it obviously works but there are better options.

We all know sime hps users get pissy about this topic. So do some led users. Let's all try not to be those people. I absolutely adore my QB, but it isn't worth getting made if some hps user decides I'm silly for that opinion.

In your first post you were talking about Vipar, Blackdog, and Kind as if they were top of the current offerings in LED tech.
