Considering you just started feeding cal mag watch the new growth. That’s old growth.Day 22 of my grow and there are two leaves yellowing a bit.

Anybody got any idea what it could be? I started feeding calmag on Monday. It's on a 18/6 light cycle under a 600w led about 20" away. Temps range from 75-85 and humidy from 40-60. Water in the morning and before bed.
New growth's coming in good so far, and the one leaf w/ the most yellow is one of her first real leaves lol is it normal for old growth to do that? Thought about just clipping it offConsidering you just started feeding cal mag watch the new growth. That’s old growth.
It most likely was lacking just watch your new growth.New growth's coming in good so far, and the one leaf w/ the most yellow is one of her first real leaves lol is it normal for old growth to do that? Thought about just clipping it off
Even though there might need to be a small adjustment, leaves get yellow spots now and then, during it's life. Just like people get a random bump or scratch. Keep an eye on it to make sure it isn't anything that needs attention, but don't worry if you see a lone yellow spot here and there. Might just be nothing.Day 22 of my grow and there are two leaves yellowing a bit.

Id have to disagree.Even though there might need to be a small adjustment, leaves get yellow spots now and then, during it's life. Just like people get a random bump or scratch. Is that coco your growing in? If so, then you need to use CalMag. If it's soil, I wouldn't add any unless there's a specific problem where it's needed.
I have done coco but all instructions always say to dose with CalMag for first 2 weeks to charge.Id have to disagree.
I run straight coco. No lime, no calmag. Just a+b nutrients.
Maybe once or twice i give it some if the ph is in range.
Coco is a great buffer on its own.
Its just gotta be flushed every feed / watering.
Coco can barely hold on to calmag you give. Because coco is naturally high in calcium and mag..
Give it calmag and it locks out.
I still dont need it.I have done coco but all instructions always say to dose with CalMag for first 2 weeks to charge.
Exactly right. You should know when its def. or toxicity.I had to use it when I did coco, which was only once. Plants were showing deficiency until I added it. GH instructions say to give it at each feeding.
You dont need to if you know whats going on.Buffering Up: Adjusting the Cation Exchange Capacity in Coco Growing Media

I know exactly what's going on.You dont need to if you know whats going on.
Coco is almost completely inert.
Buffering with lime and all that crap, is asking for trouble further down the line.
I fucking love straight coir.

You need to flush. Calcium and mag are SALTS aswell.I know exactly what's going on.
You buffer with magnesium for CEC...
Not lime to adjust pH or gypsum as a conditioner
Coco has excessive K, and sodium right off the top, it binds magnesium to its fibers and doesn't release it..
Thanks for coming out, God bless and good night.
So basically you haven't researched CEC and Coco. Gotcha, Your single user case can't dispute peer research data but I digress with the other 90% of Coco users who aren't running dtw or multiple feedings a day. I didn't say calcium either. You need to flush. Calcium and mag are SALTS aswell.
If you rinse and clean your coco properly, well its only what YOU are putting in.
Agree. Common noob mistake.Exactly right. You should know when its def. or toxicity.
If you dont correctly check, your symptoms wii look a lot worse either way.
But its always better to just ad a little, or take away a little, than waaaaaay too much.
Peace dude
