Stunted growth

My plants are acting weird man. First time growing in coco - coco loco to be exact. Ive amended it with some rock dusts, perlite, and some diatomaceous earth. I'm pretty sure its not over watering since I let them dry out well before rewatering. Day time temp is in the low 80s night time in the low 60s. Take a look what do you think is going on with my babies

I'm worried about the one above. My favorite genetics and the only seed I have of her atm. I'm really hoping she gets past this shit. by the way these are a little over two weeks old...

mix is probably too strong for them. they look burnt

ive found it better to start seeds in inert stuff like peat cubes, they only need water at first. then just into pure coco with low veg nutes. even seed compost is too much at times

Really want to save these seedlings feelin like I need to act fast. Should I transplant into a bigger pot with a different soil?

Do you not know that coco is actually hydro.

You need to keep those plants wet, feed every time, to 10% runoff to flush out excess salts. never straight water .. Right to the fucking last day befor harvest.

Take my advice man don't let them dry out or get light at all.

Here's my straight coco grow. I feed twice a day for one minute. And get them a good half dose soil drench every week.

You're not really growing in coco in the way that most people do. You're growing in soil that has coco coir instead of peat moss. Two different things. That is a good mix but too hot for seedlings. That's what you transplant into after outgrowing those solo cups when the plants are bigger.

At this point it's probably best to just ride it out and hope for the best. Transplanting those at this point in their development would likely do more harm than good. Nothing but plain water.

They're not using straight coco. They're using a coco based soil. Coco Loco just uses coco instead of peat.

"Triple washed for a low salt content. Bush Doctor Coco Loco Potting Soil by Foxfarm is one crazy little mix that’s chock-full of the best coconut coir available. Also includes plenty of good stuff like aged forest products, perlite, earthworm castings, bat guano, Norwegian kelp meal, oyster shell and dolomite lime. Heck, it even has some mycorrhizal fungi tossed in for good measure!"

Thanks for the info man- lesson learned. I'll just wait it out and hope for the best. Next time I water should I put 2 times as much water in to somewhat flush it out?

man, water everyday. Im using cocoloco, and i water 3 times a day. I also didnt know when to water. But seems to be better now that Ive been watering everyday. also, PH to 5.9, not 5.5, and dont use AN PH perfect, because it dont work because the PH is to low. I use megacrop 1 part dry nutes,

and also, I start my seeds in cocoloco, never have a problem. keep it moist and warm in a shallow container, like 1 inch deep, let is roots grow, then put into your desired pot size. twirrle roots into new pot, cover, and water.

Damn man you water everyday? Even at their first few days of life? If it works for you man then I'll have to try it. The bigger one in the pic is bouncing back but I lost hope for the real stunted one.

I'm gonna throw some more seeds and hopefully get healthy growth. Ive decided this time before planting that I'm gonna run water through the coco loco for a solid couple of minutes to flush it out before planting in it. Good idea?

These plants used to be in a different spot were night temps would be in the upper 80s and they looked the same then. Drainage is classic three holes in the bottom of the cup. If it were the night temps I'd put a space heater in there but the tent is 31" by 24" by 48" as you can imagine it doesn't really fit and I'm not trying to melt my tent or worse. maybe a seed mat?

Ok. It was just a thought. Looks like a phosphorous lockout. Overwatering and cold roots or both tend to cause that is how I was thinking.

Well the bigger one completely bounced back after a week of nothing. It's showing roots through the bottom so i'm thinking transplants coming up in the next couple of days. I plan on putting these outdoors in 400 gallon pots haha so with that in mind should I transplant into a 3 gal than into their final homes in a couple of months or should I do like 1 - 3 - 5 gallons. Never grown in this size only 50s if anyone has any insight i'd appreciate it greatly!

Sorry I can’t help with your huge outdoor Grow. I grow inside and my final pots are usually # 3.
