Hi everyone just wanted some opinions on how you feel about my grow tent set up..
I have a 300 watt maxsisun LED
I have a 6inch fan
A 2x2x4 grown tent
Thermostat
And I just finished germinating my white widow and got it planted in a red solo cup last night. The humanity my tent was really low so I added a humidifier into my tent.
Also it’s been about 80 degrees in my tent
I have some pics!
UPDATE!
Seedling sprouted a couple of days ago she’s looking pretty healthy :)
I have some pics!
Before you see them I recently made adjustments that aren’t in the pictures. They white 6 inch fan I moved to be the exhaust fan on the top of the tent. And for that other big grey fan you see in the picture I had running as the intake but the speed even on its lowest was too strong and it was bringing the humidity down to 55% down from 69%\71% so I turned it off. The temp has been around 81. I wanted to know if my 300w led light was too far away? I didn’t measure it but it looks about 2ft away maybe a little more. Also is my plant looking normal for about 3 days after it sprouted? I’m
using a ph of 6.5.

First off dude imo no fan required till flowering, that seedling doesn’t need much light at the moment so I’d say your pretty good, no need to move it closer, monitor it, it may be the case you might have to move it further away! Ph is good! Try to keep the humidity in that range and turn your intake on when your going into flower.

Thanks man ! I turned off the intake fancand left the exhaust fan on which is located at the top of my tent.

Welcome, Devon.
As you've probably realized by now, RIU can be pretty merciless :bigjoint:
I'd say that with the height limits you have with your tent, you will need to explore training techniques to limit canopy height. That light is going to struggle flowering a single plant-it won't be optimum but it will grow meds. Good luck with your grow.

The soil I have it in is the miracle gro nature’s care organic potting mix /w water conserve. What soil would you suggest I buy?
Almost anything besides Miracle-Gro is likely an improvement. I recommend a (gentle, indirect) fan on all the time, it helps strengthen and thicken the stems on seedlings, 55% humidity is about right for now, can't help you on LEDs
-good luck

your 300 watt light is not a 300 watt light. cheap led manufacturers like to hide the actual energy usage of their lights, they advertise in "equivalencies"...they're claiming your light is the equal of a 300 watt h.i.d. light, i'd be surprised if it actually drew half of that from the wall. it's better than a bunch of cfls....but not by as much as you think it is.
and you should read up on lst (low stress training) techniques, you're going to need them in a tent with that small amount of clearance

yeah I read up more on it and I just ordered the fox farm ocean soil it should be here by Monday. Would Monday be a good time to transfer my plant over to my bigger pot I have in the picture ?

look into quantum boards from a company like hlg or timber, you can dial them down so they're suitable for seedlings, then gradually turn them up till you're in flower. the new strip lighting looks good too, but i haven't looked into it much.
almost everyone starts with what they can afford to start with and upgrade as they go, if it turns out you enjoy doing this, you'll do the research and start buying new stuff soon enough...welcome to my addiction

I use Fox Farm ocean Forest as well but I've got to tell you A lot of people will claim it's too hot for seedlings I have always used it, have only lost one seedling just recently (and I'm not sure what killed it) ..but I just think you need to know that

I personally would let that plant grow for another week or so where it is, but certainly you could transplant it, I just like them a little bigger before I start shuffling them around (I like the roots a little more established)

Definitely appreciate the information, I looked into the quantum boards just now and the prices for them don’t look too bad . Since this is my first grow I’m going to try out these LEDs, I would feel like I wasted my money on the LED if I just switched it out already lol. I’m actually really enjoying growing my own weed.

Yeah I was stuck in between buying happy frog or the ocean fox farm. What got me to stay with the fox farm was the reviews when I read some on the happy frog there were a lot of bad reviews because of the gnats people kept seeing in their grow areas. & what you said about keeping it in the soil I have now for a little longer I’m starting to lean towards that too because I would be so mad if my seedling died from the fox soil lol

I was planning on doing low stress training and using a scrog in my tent. I just to learn how to build one now lol. How long should I keep this plant in vegetation with the size of my grow tent. This is a white widow auto fem plant and it’s promised to make big buds.

Hey sorry for coming off wrong, I just looked at the dirt and suggested it needs to be changed or up pot into something better. The light is not great but it will grow you something!
