Leaves drooping

I'm using CFLs and my leaves are drooping... Is it because the lights are too close??? Another thing... I heard that you can use the water from your fish tank and water your plants and it has everything that your plants need as far as nutrients... true or not???

Pics are needed and more info. How old are the plants? How much wattage in cfl's are on them and how close? How often and how much do u water? temperature and humidity of your grow room? As for fish water..no..your marijuana plant will not survive with fish water! lol

OP, Pictures would help. It could be over watered possibly? More information on your setup is needed.

It is hard to get too close with CFL's. If it is too hot for the back of you arm or hand, it is to hot for the seedlings.

As far as the fish tank water, I don't think it has all the nutrients you need per say, but it probably contains a good amount of beneficial microbes/fungi. (I believe... it might not.)

I'd imagine fish tank water to be not ideal at all since the ranges vary from 5.5 to 7.5 pH. Also probably is some microbes worth giving to the plant but actually, this is not the right way to do things... get proper nutrients, organic ones... mix with your RO or Tap water to get the desired pH of around 5.8 / 6.0.

What color are the plants now? Dark or light green? What Wattage is your CFL, what is the distance from the plant?

Also are the leaves hard or feel soft? if they feel like hard / brittle then you are OVER watering... do the actual leaves curl inward?

Plants are green, lights are close, I think I wasn't watering enough... I'm hearing different things about the fish water thing... I don't know if I will try it.the leaves are soft. I might be making a mountain of a molehill,it's only been up for a week!!!

OK, soft leaves is good... try checking your medium, is it dry about an inch deep when you check with a finger? if so give it a bit of watering and monitor the situation... Photos would help us all here to give you better advice... I'd personally steer away from Fish tank water, just seems a bit counter-productive.

Also how close is close for the CFL? inches? 10? or more?

I'd be careful of the distance and such to avoid any possible light burn.

Ten inches would be too far away right? At least for CFLs to be effective I would think...

I'm using 4 23w & 1 32w CFL. the plants are only a week old. I have them sitting on a box so they are close to the lights... I want to take them off but I'm thinking that they will be too far away from the light though

At a week old you might want to get them under LED / HPS or other, CFL is great for getting things kicked off but not really the best long term. What is your plan moving forward? LED or HPS / HID?

If your planning a cfl grow, then that's cool. Ive grown with cfl's before and got some nice big buds. If the plant is just a youngster you can use 1 bulb for now. keep it 2-4 inches away. As the plant grows, start adding more cfl's. good luck!

Totally agreed, used to use CFL for starting off my crops, it gives them a really vigorous start... Last few years I moved away from CFL and HPS to LED. CFL is really not as bad as some people make it out to be :-)

Dude! your 30 gallon is big for indoors. hopefully its outside. Why not put it in the ground if that's the case. Also.... NEVER put 2 plants in the same pot. You cant put two girls in the same bed, but you can't put two ladies in the same pot.

Right now I can only use these small boxes cause I don't have enough room for anything bigger than that until I talk my girl into giving me a closet... That will be like pulling teeth!!! I've got some autos and fems coming soon from ossc, the seeds that are growing now come out of some of OG that had a few seeds in it.
