got any pics?
Yep. :)

First pic is Hazel a few weeks ago, full growed.
Second is shortly after we got her, she was 60lbs. at 6 months and getting to know Stink-mon (that's what I call the cat with dreadlocks in his tail).
Third is down at the Mokelumne River, she looked dead scary in this pic.
Fourth is the old dog, Missy Dawg, in what is now her usual position, with the accompanying cat, Stinky, who's clearly a-feared of dogs. Someone tried to kill the cat by tying him up in a towel and dumping him in a pit toilet in the high country. Dave found him when he was probably just about to die. Now he looks like he ate a watermelon and kids keep asking if they can have one of the kittens.

I've actually been able to train Hazel to be protective of the cat, which is good because we have a neighbor who's dog almost killed another neighbor's cat and he doesn't keep the dog on his property.

Thank you. Im so sorry to hear about your guy getting shot. I know that had to be very hard for you. You're right. They get such a bad reputation from the minority, when in reality they're sweethearts. I've been wanting to know what the difference is between the two.

Like you see mine...here is a picture of my wife's pit.

Is this what you'd call a gator mouth?

they have really wide mouths with black and pink in there..tremendous jaw strength.

I love the first and third pics. She looks like she has a TON of personality.
So I walked in the house and completely ignored moose. I walked passed him, hung up my coat, set the stuff down I picked up from the store, and made him wait to be petted. It actually helped. He was very attentive.I think I'll do that everyday from now on. Thanks for the advice.

^^^ You can see it in her face, "throw the stick, come on throw the stick throw the stick, come on throw the stick throw the stick, come on throw the stick throw the stick, come on throw the stick throw the stick, come on throw the stick throw the stick, come on throw the stick

What a cute doggy. Can she jump up and catch things out of the air?

Yes, she absolutely DOES. One of the things that both previous owners complained about was "the dog moans at you." I read that and said, "What the fuck? How is that a problem?" And then she tried it on me. She figures shit out WAY too fast, way too fast.

You mean Daddy? I thought he was Will Smith's dog. He's a good dog. Kinda ugly, but a good dog (his looks are just a little extreme for my taste is all). I've got Dog Whisperer on right now. :D

Nope. He didn't even display submissive posture. It was almost like he knew that since I didn't come in and pet him like I usually do that he needed to wait. So that's what he did. He sat and waited. When I did get to him he didn't get overly excited. He just sat there and enjoyed his rubdown. After that the whole tone changed. Everytime he'd come over and I didn't want to pet him. I wouldn't. He'd look at me like "Bastard" but he'd get the point and move on. I think If we keep this up he'll become more of an independent dog.

At least it's piss out of love...
Haha. I saw this beagle thhe other day on TV that could do multiplecation. It was pretty damn awesome. haha. Like 3x2 and it would tap its paw 6 times. That's a smart ass dog. Haha. People who like pits for what they are is one thing. But when you see a wanna be walking his pit, with like 3 inch chainlink chains thats just crazy.

they were clowning that dog on "the soup". she said "5 + 4" and the dog was counting before she even finished the question. then when it get to 9 she says "good boy" and it stops. that dog was totally being coach on his answers.:roll:
