All the other products I am using "excluding the true blooms" I have always used and never had a hermie issue. Only once due to a light leak.

I agree all you really need is just the base nutes... But in my personal past side by side experiments I got something like a 30% increase in yield using the rest of the additives and things compared to base nutes alone. But either route you choose wether it be the simple one or the complicated one (more nutes, additives etc) the quality all comes out pretty equally in the end.

However I am a connoisseur cash cropper, except it's not just about the money for me though.... I am literally in LOVE with my weed... It is my life. My soul. So I like that little bump in yield.

Its when you start fucking with products with "propriety blends" and "secret and unlisted" ingredients is when you fuck up...

I am definitely spreading the word that True Blooms is trash. Their sea green is great but true blooms is shit!
dude I hear what ya saying I been cash cropping since the 80s I have tried everything out there most is garbage u seem to be dumping lots of stuff on ye ladies remember kiss.that bud grown with kelp, pro grow an some bat shit late on,i grow in promix rainwater never ph but just trying to helpphoto[339].JPG

@thumper60 that is a nice bud my man... What strain is that???

Well... I feel better this morning about everything. I was pretty upset yesterday after chopping down 2 of 5 of the 413 Chems... It just really hurts me to do that, I have a deep connection with my girls that's seriously on a sensual and affectionable level.

The good news is this morning I crawled back under the back portion of the room beneath the scrog net and started inspecting buds... All I could really get to was the lowers, mids and a few of the side tops. 6 out of 6 gg4s did not have any nanners unless I missed them. 5 out of 5 Corey's did not have any nanners, and 4 out of 4 headbanger did not have any nanners...

In the front portion of the room there are 3 headbangers, no nanners. 3 413 Chems left, a few nanners here and there. The Chem 91, which I only have one plant of I did find ONE nanner on it and must have been the same one I found the other night.

So maybe this isn't as bad as I thought it was... Unless they are deep into the buds and I am just not seeing them... Idk.

But still, I want to keep the 413s and definitely keeping the Chem 91. I mean they are Chems, they are known to have unstable lineage and known to act up a bit... Gg4 has Chem lineage, Corey definitely has chem lineage as well. The headbanger, does but its very distant.

Just for safe measure however I am still going to treat every plant in the room with the switch and florel when it gets here. I just don't wanna risk it.

Plus I had read some awesome reports about how the ingredients in florel potentiated cannabinoids... I will have to pull that up soon and show you guys.

Wish me luck!

Another thing I forgot to add, is that I have some replacements for the 413s that I did cut. I have those plants from GPS that I had talked about throwing into flower soon. I have been lazy lately but I am transplanting the plants from their half gallon grow bags to 3 gallon today and in just a few days they are going into the flower room as well. I am gonna make sure and let them marinate in the room with a no pest strip in case their are any issues with mites. Over a year ago I had spider mites in my veg room which used to be my flower room. Have not seen any since but I'm not taking that chance.

Oh... And I wanted to drop this picture update too. Pics was taken with my cheapo phone this morning and with lights on. I ain't even taking anymore lights of photos even though I was doing it at the time when the lights were still dimming out after the light controller clunked, I'm taking all precautions necessary not to escalate the herm issue in the 413.

I don't know of it is the same Candyland or not, but I have a couple packs of Kens Granddaddy Purple Seeds Candyland I plan to pop sometime or another. Either way, that bud is nice...

Does it give you the good sativa head high the Candyland is known for?

That sounds like a delicious cross. Never grew out Candyland but Trainwreck is awesome... They have to go good together. Was it the Arcata cut? Or a different Trainwreck used?

I bet they do good outdoors as well.
they run to long for me up here,i need 50-60 day finnish here, not 70-80 but iam working some quicker genes in to it, not sure what it is or what breeder I don't worry to much bout that

Yeahi I forgot you were up in "Maine" I think? Man I have bred a super amazing outdoor strain that almost seems semi-automatic but it's not. It will finish with good rock hard menthol smelling nuggets by end of August. It is very mold resistant and never have I found bud rot in it... You need these Thumper. Its called Appalachian brain freeze and can say for 16 years I have not ever seen a mold resistant strain close to this one. You can keep mothers of it too, as long as you keep it under the light for 18/6 it will not flower. I always keep mine on 24/0 though. I have photos of it somewhere, just some nug shots on my old phone. If I can find them I will throw them on here.

@thumper60 this is the only photo I could find of the Appalachian Brain Freeze that I have been working on. I have lost tons of photos and recent ones up till October of last year. But this is last years bud, it doesn't form huge tight colas like most strains, but the yield is still huge... The buds are spaced out and stacked everywhere on the plant. One advantage of this strain is just that, not forming the solid thick colas but those buds are hard as a rock. The smell is wonderful menthol, oil and sandlewood. Very very frosty and has a heavy stone and hits really hard in the head. There are a couple sativa leaning phenos though and those will run into mid September. But I ran Getaway Mountains gear last year and although his gear finished early, nothing I have ever ran finishes as early as the ABF.

Screenshot_2018-03-11-13-03-05.png

Picture quality is shitty on that photo. These buds were seeded as I was making more seeds and still dense as hell and turned out nicely.

I'm all caught up now and I subbed up as well. Looks like I got here just in time and can pull up a chair to watch the plants come down soon. It obviously sucks that nanners began showing up but I think you'll be just fine after spraying them. I'll look through my handwritten journal tonight and see what I mixed the dose at. And to confirm, they were only sprayed once (I was a bit fuzzy on remembering that from another thread or post).

I saw that earlier on when you were just getting things going that you had questions about coco coir. I'm sure you already know by now (since you read my journal) that I'm a big fanboy of coco+flood drain. I grew in soil for years and always hand watered, never really considering ebb & flow as something that would fit my style. Now I took a long break from growing, but after coming back I grew in a coco/soil mix with decent results, but I still wasn't satisfied... so I tried coco in a drain to waste style. Viola! Faster growth than soil but not quite as vigorous as a DWC can explode. The problem was I had to be in the garden every other night to water them. I like the results but I wasn't thrilled with the amount of labor I was putting into the garden.

I decided to pretty much mimic what VaderOG concocted, using pure coco in a flood and drain application. The big kicker is that instead of using Canna's hydro line of nutrients, Vader decided to just run his Canna Coco A+B in the reservoir. Canna doesn't necessarily 'approve' or advertise this method, but the results speak for themselves. Regular nursery pots are used, and a coco fiber liner pot is used inside the nursery pot to prevent the coco medium from coming out of the drain holes. The best part of this method for me is that the watering is automated. It free's up my time significantly where now my time in the garden is spent looking to optimize and watch the plants and smoke a joint, instead of being hunched over with my 2 gallon sprayer. I'm surprised more growers haven't adopted this style yet, but there's so many damn ways to skin a cat that I'm still learning new ways everyday.
The reason I bring this method up is that I'm finding it a lot easier to grow perpetually. I've got herb still drying from the last run but already have plants on week 5 of flower back in the tent. I just pick them up out of the 3x3 tent and move them to the 4x4 tent. Albeit I know my grow is smaller, but here's a shot of Vader's flower room (similar size to yours).

I was spending between 1-2 hours every other night in the garden when I was doing drain to waste. Lets just say 5 hours per week on average. Now I'm down to 1.5 hours total per week for actual work (res changes), and the rest of my time is spent admiring and chillen.

Glad to see you're using the Recharge as well. I'm assuming you listen to the DGS if you got Recharge in the garden. Seriously some of the best stuff I've ever used. It just makes the plants happy.

Anyways man, this post is long enough so I'll end it. Looking forward to what the future brings.

Update Day 31 12/12

Here are the girls as of this morning at lights out. They are looking fine and dandy so far... things are really starting to swell and frost up to my liking ;)

Have not seen anymore nanners since I cut out the true blooms... thank God.

I am going to give them a light foliar of Florel however tonight. Just because I don't see them doesn't mean they're not hidden down inside the buds.

Thank you Bakersfield! I am very content with this grow... I'm halfway through the flowering process and it feels great to be at this point. This is where things start getting exciting and you can start droppin' the bud open ;)... Its almost like it takes the girls the first 30 days to put their make up on and then they start exposing themselves... Haha, women.

Happy to have you subbed to my thread! I am busy with work this morning (been a super busy week fencing 150 acres) but I will get around to your post this evening! Again, thanks for the advice and for stopping by.

Alright guys, first off I would like to apologize it everyone for being so non attetlntive to my thread and replies and all. Life has been super busy lately and I promise things will pick up soon... Just had a hell of a lot going on as of late.

Second of all, I have a HUGE issue. As much as I LOVE the hell out of Chemdog and her super pungent stanky ass perfume, she is really beginning to overpower my carbon filters. Big time.

Me and the wife went shopping tonight and when we got home, I smelled the gals as soon as we were pulling into the driveway, car still rolling and Windows up. This is just too much...

Back when I first started flowering I out up two filters, two fans... Remember I had such an issue with controlling temps?? Well one of the key things I did was put in one phresh filter which is excellent and then one cheapo filter that I got back about 5 years ago in a grow tent set... You know, the super light shitty ones that just don't work that well at all once the girls start stankin? Reason for this at the time was to allow better and faster airflow to help control temps and keep the heat down since more air could be pulled through it.

So this brings me yo my question...

Is it okay to go ahead and remove my scrog net? I am way past stretch and of anything I guess I could stake up the plants branches and buds if they are flimsy which honestly they all seem to be pretty steady... I want to get back there to back and put up my other good heavy phresh filter, if I could do this I know for a fact I could cut down on the odor at least by 75%... I know this because last time I used the cheapo filter when I used to use grow tents and first got it, I had a terrible problem with odor. I removed the cheap filter after the first run and from that point forward I never had an issue once the phresh filters were used.

What do you guys think? I mean has to be better than getting busted I guess right? Or losing a few grams of lower buds... I honestly only think it would make a few degrees difference in temps if I put up the phresh... If anything I could always install a brand new window a.c. unit that I bought for my veg room to help control the temps as well.

Need some advice asap... This Is my first ever scrog.
