Little help here...

see pictures. Currently growing in a 36x20” tent. Humidity is typically 45-60% temps typically are around 82-83*, but have gotten up to 92-93* today because the weather here cannot make its mind up. Medium is Happy Frog/Ocean Forest mix+Additional perlite. First pic is Girl Scout Fem seed that popped from the soil 2/23 (3 gal airpot). Second pick is a Bruce banner #3 that popped 2/23 (3 gal smart pot). Third pic is my Lemon OG Haze that popped 3/4 (3 gal smart pot). Light is rapid led 2x2 COB fixture that was turned up 100% on the potentiometer, but I backed it down to about 50-60% today. Full power is 225w. Light is at 25”.

All pictures show slight-moderated discoloration of the leaves. First pic looks like cal/mag or maybe phosphorus??? Any ideas? No true nutes yet but I’ve been supplementing with Calmagic Calmag ~7ml/gallon. Since these girls are relatively young, I have just been misting at the base of the stock of the plant when the soil has dried out. Pots still has some water weight, so I haven’t formally “watered” any of them yet—just the moisture in the soil and periodic misting of the soil.

Nothing to worry about? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if you need more details.

They are too young for any nuts in that soil, go straight water for a little while you shouldn't need cal\mag sup. Soil may be drying faster at the root then you think in that heat but...
I really didn’t think supplementing calmag was an issue as I’ve always started off all my plants with supplementing calmag and have never had an issue. Does look like nuts burn though. I’ll try just Ph’d water and see if that helps. Thanks for the feedback

Yep what people are saying bro. Nute burn! The soil is too much for that seedling, need a lighter mix ASAP! Then when going into flower transplant into similar soil your using now!! bongsmilie

I had the same thing happen the first time I started seeds in OF or Happy Frog. I don't start seeds in straight OF or Happy Frog anymore.

Why are you feeding calmag? It's not necessary. That soil has plenty of calcium and magnesium in it from the crab meal, shrimp meal, oyster shell, and kelp. It might not do anything in the beginning but if you keep using it when it's not needed you'll end up with too much in the soil. You could end up with deficiencies from nute lockout and the first thing someone is going to tell you is to feed it some calmag or flush it with 100 gallons of water. Your plants won't like either of those options. Less is better.

Ocean Forest ingredients:
Ingredients: Composted forest humus, sphagnum peat moss, Pacific Northwest sea-going fish emulsion, crab meal, shrimp meal, earthworm castings, sandy loam, perlite, bat guano, granite dust, Norwegian kelp, and oyster shell (for pH adjustment).

Thanks for all the feedback... I typically use only FFOF and will flush (w about 4-5) gallons of ph’d water before planting seeds. Happy Frog is almost half the cost of Ocean Forest so I thought I’d 50/50 it... I test flushed an empty pot and the runoff was 270ppms—therefore, I though the mix of the two would be okay. I’m def not moving them; I will continue to monitor closely though. You really think they need to be moved?

I shoulda flushed and prior to planting and I didn’t. I know now—so I can either keep the same soil mix and flush or go a different route. Thanks again

I never said they should be moved. I wouldn't. Just plain water. They'll adapt as they get bigger. I've had plants start out like this and end up being the best plant at harvest.

The reason you can't effectively fush things out is because of the organic components in the soil. Even if you flush The organic ingredients blended into the soil will continue to release nutrients after the soil drains. You're only flushing for a moment because those organic materials continue to provide food and by the next day more nutrients will have leached into the soil from the organic material.

Just give them plain water for at least a couple of weeks. They'll do fine.

The movement comment was for tiffj. Thanks for the explanation

Yup, pictures wouldn't load for me but by what you said I agree with this, way too young for newts especially in Ocean Forest

I use ffof, once I started seedlings at 25% of my 1-1-1 nutrient solution with no problem in a thread about this very topic. I don't believe that it's "hot" I've never had any problems, but that's just how I do it. lot of people use a mix like you have and that should be fine
-good luck

Wanted to add I add 20% Horticultural perlite and I don't flush anyting

Seem to be doing better. New growth looks good and I made some ventilation changes. I see slight curling of tips—hopefully it stays “slight”. I almost think the discoloration and deformation of the plant in the third picture might be genetics???...
