Woman arrested after shooting at marijuana eradication helicopter

AVA_ A 69-year-old woman is facing charges after a National Guard helicopter used for marijuana eradication was fired upon in rural southwest Missouri.
A Highway Patrol news release said a Missouri National Guard pilot and a state trooper were flying over rural Douglas County on Wednesday morning when the aircraft was shot at.
A trooper on the ground located the woman, who admitted that she fired at the helicopter as it flew overhead.
She was taken to the Douglas County Sheriff's Department and held pending charges.
There were no injuries and no damage to the chopper. The investigation is ongoing.
