I believe what 3GT suggested is the DIY equivalent of the QBs. Except that you can space out the strips further if you wish to do so. There's also the possibility to mix different spectrum strips. Where as QBs are limited by what's listed.

That'll be awesome. 4K in there will help with veg and the far red is meant to knock a couple days off flowering - not sure how you're meant to use them properly though

Kelvin’s (K) is the colour of steel when heated to that temp so a 2000 k light will have more red in it than a 4000 k light usually 3000k is called warm white 4000k cool white and 4500 daylight at least with fluros and down lights that’s the case. The far reds I’ve only just had a glance at but I’ll be able to go to the LED section and be an argumentative cunt like 90% of the guys there so that will be fun
