I'm going perlite hempy with a 1-2cm soil cap on top. Keeps it dark in the root zone and helps support the seedling a bit. Might cause me issues down the line but I'll soldier on and get through it

Nice idea there with the soil cap, I always feel the top 1-2cm is wasted with straight perlite hempys now theres a solution :P

Yeah lol.
Im thinking maybe an empty dwc, of sorts. Sitting the cup on top like dwc. Then the cup touches the bottom to feed.
Its the aeration, in the cup im concerned about. Not much room for roots. More space the better. I have an air stone and pump too.
Feed from the bottom. Empty container each day.
Gonna be very intesting im sure :P
Im predicting a failure already

Anyone know if these little fuckers are harmful looks a bit like a mite .. got a ton of em running round in my soil that ive been brewing

Whatever you do don't call it a SIP, people have nearly come to blows over that in the past :D
Really haha? I don't mean the Hempy is a sip ;) Mr Hempy respect.

I might run a coco Hempy but my other cup comp I'm in the straight coco cups are doing best so not sure yet :/
