I have four friends wanting to grow for the first time. I'm going to get them started but I see issues ahead. I don't know why I put myself through this hell.

I grew my first buds in farm dirt using bagseed in '78 back in Calgary and helped lots of my friends get indoor grows going and none of us really knew what we were doing.

Come a long way baby! circle.gif

I got a friend of mine started with some clones of the Northern Lights that I kept going from '94 to '05. I would give quite a bit to have that strain back. Anyway, he moved to California in '02 and has since become twice the grower I am... ungrateful jerk! Always good to help those who are just starting out!

I grew my first plants from bagseed sometime between 1976 and 1977. Colombian Gold. The real stuff. I remember because it was bicentennial time. Myself and a friend had a plant growing in a field along the railroad tracks. There was a pond where we got water. We chopped the plant and smoked the leaves. We didn't know any better. We we about thirteen years old.

I sure wish I had some seeds from that old school Colombian Gold. We used to throw the seeds away.

Ya unfortunately they would have finished mid January here lol. We called the males flower tops as they were starting to develop just before the chop lol. Good times lol. I used the old mans rototiller to make a patch and ran string lines to plant rows lol.
