Yeah, I guess there's some science behind adding water to the VG/cbd mix. It's supposed to allow a higher concentration of cbd to be dissolved into the mixture.

CBD shows a dielectric constant between 18.84 and 21.01, while CBD shows 21.15 to about 24.15 in the tests at:

VG has a constant of about 42.5, which should be adequate for extracting 24.15, and it actually shows adding water dropped the constant to 37. I don't see any mechanism by which that would work.

I wasn't too sure about it either so I held off. I think on the next batch I'm going to use just enough everclear to dissolve the cbd, then add vg. This batch didn't turn out bad, I just can't get it as concentrated as I want without it hitting a limit and wanting to solidify again.

VG is hard to dissolve cannabis essential oils in. When you try to dissolve concentrate in VG, some components fall out of solution.

What is your end use, that requires VG?
