In a tent? I wonder how this would be done?the soil bed is superior to pots, faster growth, less temp issues and way less watering, the roots love the room to spread out
Correct, 1 gal pots with hydroton in Flood & Drain. I was just saying 1/2 oz per 36 plants as a low end benchmark meaning that should be the lowest you should get if grown even entry level. Basically in a nutshell a newb could get 36 plants to give 1/2 oz each under a 1K by following feed directions on a bottle and letting the plants do all the work. @llnknth has the right idea if you are going soil and want weight though.Your colas are very nice. I would love to do 25 of those at once. Are those 1 gallon pots? They look very close to 1 ounce colas
I think I'm having a problem with slow veg times because my clones never get monster roots. It always takes my clones 3 to 4 weeks to "finish" because that's all the time I will give them. My roots never get longer than an inch or 2. I've seen some people with 5 inch roots after only 2 weeks in a dome and my jaw drops. I wonder if its because I put them in those tight fitting 72 site trays for rapid rooters? It always takes my clones 5 to 7 days just to start taking off.
In a bed like this is probably the only way I'd ever do a sea of green.i average 1.75-2+ lbs every run,my best was 35oz 3 runs ago under 1k hps
Yeah, you'd just have to print selectively. You cut the side branching off and force a single cola if it doesnt grow like that naturally. As for watering, in a perfect world EVERYONE would be in hydro... j/k
Honestly though, I havent run into a strain yet I cant get to grow like this:

All grown in approx 8" 1 gallon pots with zero side branch trimming.
I love the look of those dense colas. How long are the cuttings when you take them? How many nodes do you leave when you pop it in a plug to root?Correct, 1 gal pots with hydroton in Flood & Drain. With the clones, I usually cut off about 3 nodes (cut at bottom of third node from the top) then peel everything from the bottom node to promote rooting. They usually end up anywhere from 5"-8" at flip to 12/12. No veg time other than 1-3 days for them to harden off and acclimate to the transplant. Welcome to RIU!I love the look of those dense colas. I do the peel from the bottom node on my cuttings too. It's so much easier and faster than scraping and I get much better and more consistent results that way. With the clones, I usually cut off about 3 nodes (cut at bottom of third node from the top) then peel everything from the bottom node to promote rooting. What exactly do you guys mean by "peel"??I do the peel from the bottom node on my cuttings too. It's so much easier and faster than scraping and I get much better and more consistent results that way.
You cut the main stem directly under the node, and peel off the lateral branches from that node and this leaves the "skin" of the stem open giving more area for the roots to start. What exactly do you guys mean by "peel"??
