White widow pistols browning early

hi guys,

I have two plants growing indoor under 400W light. One is sour apple the other is white widow. Sour apple looks fine for its current stage in week 5 of flowering however the white widows pistols are turning brown very early.

Anyone know why? Is it just an issue with the widow? Do I continue as normal? Or is it closer to harvest now that the pistols are brown?!

I don’t think it’s heat damage or anything else because the other plant is growing very normally.

Check the bud sites for bananas with a loupe. It may be fine but keep an eye on it.
I have had some plants grow bananas and figured it was caused from to much light, not temps as I'm constantly at 24c at canopy. If no male parts showing then you should find out it will produce more white hairs before harvest.

I was going to mention the same thing, to check for hermie traits. But the bud pics you posted don't look like they've been pollinated, when they get hit by pollen they turn brown/redish but also recede and those hairs are not receded. Looks like you just have a pheno that browns up early, I have a couple like that, they just turn earlier/faster. Looks like that's all it may be. Also, if it were pollen you'd see that happening on the other plants.

Thanks for the help guys!

So just to confirm does this mean it’s almost ready to be trimmed now since it has turned faster? Or can I still allow a few more weeks for the buds to fatten up?

Yeah let her go abit.. most seasoned growers look at trich color more then at the hairs.. you'll be surprised on how much a bud will swell in the last week or two.... I would let her g at least three to four more weeks.. but that's just me..
