UK growers and smokers

Law wont change unless you isolate every chemical in the plant and produce pharma testing. Some caanabinoids have gone down this route and the synthetic versions usefull in bone graft/organ transplant in Uk hospitals.

Produce the science and doctors will bring about its use, unfortunately thats a tall order to study and clinically test over 200 cannabinoids to certify a plant has medicinal value.
This is why it needs to be removed from it classification at present and scientific testing needs to be allowed.
There are already several countries that have declared it has medicinal uses. And our own government already has allowed Sativex and now the sale of CBD on the highstret.
Its only a matter of time until it is legalised here in UK. (Probably still 5 ish years away though).

The main problem I have is that our government and big business is being allowed to gain a monopoly on the market before it is even legalised, and then once it is they will control how it is run.

Happy plants = Happy me!

The is my 3rd grow now, and I think I'm starting to get 'dialed in' with regards to feeding schedule, temps/rh (I never follow the bottle) I always feed too lower and I've been working on reading the plants to see what they need/don't need.
With these I'm cutting the N back on the next couple of feeds, as I think they're quite dark at the moment.

Plus this is my first grow with my DIY led lights, so I'm hoping they perform well. I'll be happy with anything over 10oz from all of this!

Yea mate definitely don’t go buy the bottle or feeding charts set by companies they usually lead to over feeding. I always stick to the lower end too.

I’ve no idea experience with LEDs but they are looking healthy! How comes you don’t fancy using HPS?

I got all of the equipment from a mate who tried to grow in a cupboard, he ended up warping the door so it didn't fit anymore lol.
I set up the hps in my tent and just couldn't manage the temps, so I bought a cheap blurple Meizhi 600 (which, to be fair to it did really well) I just knew it wasn't the best, but I continued down the led path.

I don't get into the hps/led argument too much on here, because I haven't tried hps so I can't offer a valid opinion. However I can say the LEDs work fantastically, the strips I'm using I got from a guy in Estonia via eBay.
My whole light cost about £120 to build and it draws 276w From the wall.
covers a 4x4 easily for veg, but I am adding some extra led for flowering until I can add a couple more strips to my frame...I saved money/time and hassle by making the frame act as the heatsink.

Were British not USA or worse, we have strict med guidelines and already bad weed related problems. Satisfy them and it will be legal tomorrow.

Obviously its not as medicinal or mentally soothing as the hype leads you to believe or we wouldn't be saying piss off to legalization.

The majority of people I talk to (who also don’t smoke) say that it should be legal, I think most of the country agrees, however it takes money out of big wigs pockets, from medicine to going to prison, which they make a killing off, that’s just too small examples, it clearly has medical benefit wether it’s overhyped or not, and what is the weed related problem that needs satisfying? For me the only problem is that it isn’t legal and not allowing people to use it as a medicine, and the strict med guidelines are a joke, tramadoll being one example there, given to patients far too easily and is addictive and can kill very easily.

I support free trade not the legal commercial entity that evolves which is counter intuitive to the premise of what we and weed stand for.

This thing is ours, cosa nostra all the way. Aint that what were doing here, who needs them when we can overgrow the country.

I guess the old ways are dead....

I agree however you could grow your own legally and not worry about being busted for having 6 little plants growing in your back room, people would grow they’re own medicine if the law was correct, they may take the piss taxing it if you were to buy it, but growing, no issues.

Personally speaking, I don't think the UK governments have kept it banned because they (or their funders/backers) make more money with it banned. Mainly because any government would relish a new area of commerce they can tax the heck out of ;)
I think it is more connected to historic social and religious reasons (including anti-drug campaigns). Remember that other drugs have a bad history in the UK; like the 'gin' epidemics of the late 1800's or the opium/cocaine usage in 'cure all' remedies (the alternative medicine of that age ..and used by many) around the same time and well into the 20th century.
All this (imo) helped create the mindset in the UK (specifically) you see today. However, I believe as generation X (and beyond) start getting old enough hto be in influential areas of society then i think the laws may/will change. It all depends how cannabis will be viewed going forwards I guess.
There are road blocks (imo) like perhaps; specialist breeding (for strength etc) will create a situation where compounds in cannabis are so strong they really cause truly provable medical issues in humans.

As is, I've been told numerous times that it was going to be decriminalised 'any time soon' ..I've heard that for over 40 years now :) I live in hope though.

Hi guys . I'm looking for some advice from growers in the u.k.

I'm thinking of the running 2 rooms .
4 600 air cooled hps. 2 6" inch fans and a extractor in each room. The rooms will work with 1 room lights off and the other room coming on. Does anybody run similar roomslike this ? the only thing that is stopping me is the total wattage flagging up on my electric supplier .

Thanks !

they moved it back to a class B like a few years ago? To me class C is basic decriminalisation, then the country moved backwards, also the tax they’d make off cannabis wouldn’t go to the elite.

What size are the rooms they you're wanting to use?
The 2400w of hps could be replaced with LEDs (cobs, or quantum boards) with a lower draw and basically the same light output.
As I don't run quite that much wattage on my grow, I can't say I have ever been worried about the leccy company asking what I'm doing.

I have 5 600s. 4 of them run through the night and come on at the same time. I’ve never had a problem so you should be good to go. Also have to 6 inch fans running to.

Who said your going to be allowed six plants?

And thats the problem with legality, maybe they say two plants. basically i have it much sweeter doing stealth grows that stay hidden and dont need the law inspecting, regulating, taxing or telling me what to do.

legality dosent support the grower in any way, it restricts and takes away what you once had. The punishment for growing kept away the idiots and wimps basically.

I dont expect this to be agreed with, damn yanks are only just realizing that the grass isnt always sweeter on the other side and the real growers will be the big business not us.

The six plants was an example of being Busted for a small amount! Nothing to do with how much you can grow? Yeah I get what you mean but even stealth grows aren’t 100% safe anything can happen, at least you’d be able to relax knowing you cannot be arrested being my point man. The only thing they’d regulate is selling over the counter and maybe medicine, they’re not going to come in your house and tell you how to grow?

No they could regulate how much you have in one place, carry, access to seeds, ask you to pay licences or be registered, restrict medication through blood tests etc etc etc

Please don't assume these guys give a shit about us, if they think were growing too much and they aren't selling enough they now have the power to cut your plants and seeds right down.

this legal thing dosent suit growers, it suits the average non grower who wants to get high, with legality they have more rights and growers have less.

I support free trade of weed and no set limits on anything, anything else is just a joke, when do i start paying for thew air i breath too....
