I don't understand that larry, iam in a flooded legal state long as u got good product at good price no problem moving goods iam starting to wonder what all these folks r crying about? growing maybe not as good as they think
They are moving product. It's just the price point doesn't support the cost of living in Oregon. And to grow rec to sell, there are so many fees and such.

For top shelf prices, they have to have the latest "in" strain. That is all they talk about, what is going to be hot next.

I hear you on the latest "In" strain. I don't even know what half the stuff is anymore. The names are getting ridiculous. Coconut Boogie Woogie Chocolate Chunk Kush, etc... Actually I just made up that name but you get my point. And to be honest I have not found anything any better than what I grow. A friend was over the other day with some "You have to try this" he just got from the dispensary. It was dried up weed that had gone through a mechanical trimmer and tasted like crap. But that could have been from the two seeds that snapped and popped while we were smoking a bowl. We then smoked some of my Night Nurse and Pakistani Chitral Kush. It tasted delicious and after he recovered on my couch after an hour or so I gave him a care package when he left. He asked if he could just buy from me from now on and I had to tell him no. I don't sell anything. I grow so that myself and my close friends can have good weed to smoke.

I used to get better black market pot than most of what they sell in the dispensaries. I think so much is being made into edibles and concentrates that many are not that concerned about bag appeal and taste.

I can tell you one thing.
Growers know less about good weed than PotHeads with 50+ years experience.
When the names started getting fancy... Pot got expensive. I'd sooner not know the name and judge it like I always do. Examine, taste and enjoy.

With my seed hoard i have a variety of strains at my fingertips. For about 4 years to come. I love the variety available. And the quality is way better than the licensed producers here. I know, I have had it. I have a script and i stopped buying when 4 plunked in my tent. And I started growing 4 because my autopots came in a 4 pot set and I am too lazy to hand water. The law just decided the autopots were good and so 4 became the number.
:D
And a lot of the great growers grow stellar trees as meds for people. Best of the best. But I believe DJ Short and Jack Herer were right. It should be for the people. To grow for themselves.

I find the flavor of my strains and effect are way better than anything I can buy around here licensed or otherwise. And a friend that moves some weight asked if i had some to move and of course i dont. I am the chairman of the hoard.

But for now my 2 tents are doing pretty well. :) I should get over a pound this round and that is not too shabby with 4 plants and a 4 to 5 week veg. I counted buds on the scrog and stopped at 70 buds. It was too confusing to continue. That shit works ! SCROG i mean. If limited by count and such. And you have the light to support the growth.

And I am such a newb. i use COB and 315 CMH. :D

Back in the old days, most of the named strains had names that indicated where they originated:

Acapulco Gold

Maui Wowie

Panama Red

Oaxacan

Columbian

Jamaican

Thai (stick)
Those were the good old days. Those strains you listed tasted great and got you as stoned as you wanted to get.

I seem to be going backwards in time. I have no interest in most of these new strains and find myself drawn back to the seventies and eighties. In fact I'm currently growing some of the strains you listed. I doubt they are the originals but if they're close I'll be happy.

In flower now:
Acapulco Gold
Colombian Gold
Thai

In veg:
Panama

And I've been looking for Hawaiian for awhile and places are always sold out. I checked Sensible Seeds the other night and they had Sativa Seedbank - Hawaii Maui Waui Feminized so I bought a pack of ten. I wanted regulars but they were out of stock. Probably missed them by a day or two. We'll see how they turn out but it's going to be at least another grow before I have any room. I might just change my next grow plans to get at least one of these into the tent. I'm not holding my breath for them being the Hawaiian I remember in the late seventies. But I just had to add them to my collection. I'm a seed whore.

Those that have been in this fight long term... Know we have 'em where we want them and to letup now would be stupid and counterproductive. We weren't fighting so that hedge fund managers and governments could get rich off us instead of Our Black Market friends. We weren't fighting so that the Educations system could benefit... They taught pot lies and shouldn't get a penny.
I'm OK with contributing to our true pot heros...

I do love playing Frisbee when High...
People can brew themselves but for 99% of us it's cheaper and more convenient to go to the local store. Big company's will eventually take over and drop the prices way below the profit limits of a small grower. They will get discount on electric, feed, new strain lines, water rates, bulbs, medium.. all of it. This is how capitalism works, suppliers give relief to the big company's for short term gain. Big company can then flood the market and drown everybody else. The suppliers and small businesses suffer.. but the greedy fk suppliers are too short sighted. We don't even have local grocery stores any more.. same game played. On an international level this is the proverbial China.

''illegal'' is the only defense from capitalism aka 1% domination. It's not even about who works the hardest to get to the top, it's about who wanks off who at the right time.

A friend has some high quality shake. And doesn't want to make oil.
He was thinking of rolling joints for sale at local music fests and gatherings. For $1 or $2.
We need people like that. Almost giving the stuff away. To H with the legal sellers.
Ha he stole my buisness model from1976 lol. He’ll be unloading trucks and boats in no time ;).

If consumers lower their standards they won't mind smoking commercial outdoor weed and saving money. It will be like buying a pack of marlboros. People that have money and enjoy good flavor will always pay more. When I can buy good tasting weed for $100/oz I will gladly quit growing.
I’m doing that now. Guys selling qp’s for $300, while not top shelf, it’s above mids, I grow for the grow and money is really not a concern but hell it has me thinking lol.

You can still get heirloom or landrace varieties

Acupulco gold lambs breath gods breath.

But i like an mine with a bit of indica and a shorter flower time.

And a sour fruit taste with no lemon but a pine is a ok. Haze too

There are many stellar strong hybrids out there. Sativa or indica heavy.

That cheese from last tent is stronger than i remember. The cure is everything.

They had some Chinese grow operations like this raided in the Portland/Vancouver area in the past. This has nothing to do with trump but more the FBI and DEA targeting foreign crime rings operating in the United States.

Edit:
But I don't care for trump anyway.
Who cares the ethnicity.. it didnt say they were here illegal. I doubt they even called home to China to talk to their mum. it's trump and his justice department doing this. One of the largest seizures ever.. whens the last time the italians or albanians had over 100 homes seized?

I'm not concerned with the ethnicity but this seizure involved organized Chinese criminal organizations operating in the United States and sending their profits back to China. It's no different than the Mexican drug cartels. Black market drug operations operated by foreigners should not be tolerated on US soil. Regardless of ethnicity or nationality.

"Down payments on the properties were financed by wire transfers from the province of Fujian, China, and the pot that was grown in the homes was later distributed outside California to other parts of the United States"

All things you say are alleged by a corrupt justice department.
